In peacetime, he worked at the Arzamas felt factory as a Stoker and was a trade unionist, about which there is also a clipping from the newspaper Arzamas Pravda. Grandfather loved the song «Oh, the roads…», sang it, and tears appeared in his eyes. _x000D_ In General, he never thought about the war. Unfortunately, he died early (stomach cancer). That's all I can tell you about him. I also know that he had a lot of medals, decorations and certificates for his awards. Unfortunately, all these awards disappeared after the death of my father, who continued to live in his parents ' home after the death of his parents. I really wish I had taken them earlier to keep them. I vaguely remember what kind of medals they were.
