For exemplary performance of command assignments at the front against the German invaders and displaying valour and courage, by frontline order No. 31/n from 24.07.1942 issued by the armed forces (Military Council) of the 30th Army of the Kalinin front and kept now in the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defence, Pavel Voznyuk, commander of the 447th separate mortar division of the 359th rifle division, was awarded the medal "for bravery".
