Pyotr Yakovlevich was born on July 12, 1918 in the village of Svoino, Suvorovsky district, Tula Region. He was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army by the Zagorsk District Military Commissariat, Moscow Region on 06/23/1941, and two days later he was sent to the front. _x000D_ From June 1941 to March 1942 served in the 87th Infantry Regiment of the 55th Army on the Leningrad Front. Excellent training and discipline quickly rose him to the rank of Starshina. Pyotr Yakovlevich received his first award, a medal "For Courage" for the battle at the Pesochnya station. From award list No. 204/54: "The enemy threw all his forces to take possession of the station, and then the Finlyandsky railway station of Leningrad. Being in ambush with a handful of fighters, Sychev repulsed attacks until dawn, when help came. In this battle, he received a shell shock." _x000D_ _x000D_ Leaving the hospital, he took part in the defense of the Ust-Izhora plant. _x000D_ Pyotr Yakovlevich participated three times with his platoon in night attacks to liberate the sovkhoz "Krasny Bor", which we captured. In the last attack, Pyotr Yakovlevich was seriously wounded by shrapnel in his left leg and lost part of his lower leg. For the liberation of the sovkhoz, he was awarded the Order of Glory III degree. _x000D_ In May 1942, Pyotr Yakovlevich was dismissed from the army as a disabled person of the II group and returned to the Tula Region. He worked as a Senior Accountant at Plavsky MTS. Later he graduated from the courses of employees of the prosecutor's office and was elected people's judge of the 2nd section of the Aleksin district of the Tula Region. _x000D_ After the war he worked as a prosecutor in the city of Barnaul. In October 1947, for family reasons, he returned to Tula, where he worked as a judge on the territory of the Mendeleevsky village.
