Tyustin Petr, Mikhailovich

Rank: Starshina. Branch of troops: Ground Forces. Subdivision: 372nd Infantry Novgorod Red Banner Division. RUSSIAN SOLDIER OF THE POLISH ARMY. Pyotr Mikhailovich Tyustin was born on July 12, 1925 in the village of Kekur, Irbit District, Sverdlovsk Region. Once my grandfather Pyotr Mikhailovich talked about his memories, about that height near the village of Shainovo, where he lost his fellow countryman, a friend from a sniper School and a front-line Comrade Nikolai Pystin. He bandaged the wounded Nikolai himself, ordered him to go to the rear. But they started bombing the heights, and Nikolai remained forever near the Belarusian village. _x000D_ In 1941, right after the start of the war, Peter, like most teenagers, was offered to go to the Vocational Workers School. He graduated from it and became an electrician, was sent to work at the plant. In the fall of 1942, ahead of schedule, at the age of 17, he was called to the military registration and enlistment office and sent to a Sniper School: there was one in Kamyshlov. In March 1944, as part of the newly formed 372nd Division, Pyotr Mikhailovich went to the Leningrad Front. But “another order sounds,” and the train is urgently unloaded, the Division makes a 400-kilometer march to the Belorussian front. _x000D_ Here, in between battles, P. M. Tustin received combat missions as a sniper. Soon after the loss of a friend, in one of the combats he was concussed. After three days spent in the hospital of Sanitary Battalion, my hearing was restored, and I went into combat again. During the capture of Kovel, he was severely wounded in the leg. The hospital where they were treated came under bombardment. _x000D_ But apparently fate was to survive ... He survived, recovered and was sent to Poland, to a mixed Regiment of the Polish Army. Together with the Poles, he liberated Poland not only from the Germans, but also from numerous bandit formations trying to strengthen the fascist regime in the country. For brave and skillful military operations on the territory of Poland, the command of the Polish Army awarded Pyotr Mikhailovich with two bronze crosses and three medals: “For Warsaw”, “Kraiowa Rada Narodowa”, “Odre-Nyse-Baltyk”. The grandfather also has national awards: medals "For Courage", "For Military Merit", "For Victory over Germany", the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree. After the liberation of Poland, he became Deputy commandant of the city of Pruszkow. Here he celebrated Victory! The war is over. _x000D_ But the paths of many soldiers, including grandfather, lay not yet home, but further to the West. Petra was waiting for the School of Junior Aviation specialists in one of the air units stationed in Germany. Here he was promoted to the Starshina of the Regiment, then the Starshina of the School. _x000D_ He began his civil life only in 1950. There was a factory and family, not a minute free. They raised three daughters with my wife (my grandmother). And now the grandchildren have grown up, and the great-grandchildren are growing up! Pyotr Mikhailovich did not have years in vain in his life. A loyal defender of the Motherland, an advanced worker, a reliable and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather... My grandfather Pyotr Mikhailovich Tyustin lived to be 85 years old, he died on October 18, 2010. We remember! We are proud!
