As a cadet, he got into the military unit of the 119 Western rifle division, where he immediately showed his best side and soon became the commander of the rifle division of the 77th guards rifle regiment. And after quite some time, he was seriously injured. But this is the war, there was no time for a long treatment, and not yet fully recovered, in 1944 he was forced to go to the front again, where he was appointed commander of the 237th guards rifle platoon, but he was again wounded… After the second wound, my grandfather returned to the battlefield as an assistant commander of a rifle platoon of the 237th guards rifle division. But soon received a third wound and in 1945 he was mobilized with the rank of Sergeant. My grandfather went as far as Dresden. He walked through Belarus, Poland, and part of Germany. He fought on a real battlefield. He was an ordinary infantryman who did not hide in the "back rooms of the higher ranks” and never looked for an opportunity to avoid the front, he went to the battlefield, defending his country with his chest and leading an entire rifle regiment! He did not hide from the enemy, sending very young boys, like cannon fodder, to die for their country... he was one of these boys... was a real soldier... one of thousands of the same, thanks to which the country got its victory! A. I. Ragozin returned from the war with many wounds, but alive. He married and raised five children and many grandchildren. He became a good accountant, who was approached by many in the area where they lived, and he fully took place in his life, as if these war years had never happened. He managed to live to old age with his beloved wife and go to another world surrounded by relatives and friends in a very old age. We remember... We are proud!
