Sergeant Pavel Fyodorovich Kukshin in Hungary

Pavel Fyodorovich Kukshin (1911-1983) was born in the village of Ikovskoye, Vikulovsky District, Tyumen Region. On 25 August 1941 he was called up to the Red Army. In January 1942 he was sent to the regimental school, after which Pavel Fedorovich was awarded the rank of senior sergeant, liberated Staraya Russa and fought near Leningrad. As part of the 52nd Army of the 2nd Ukrainian Front he liberated Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, the cities of Budapest, Chisinau and forced the Danube. The photo was taken in Hungary in 1945. Victory was met by Pavel Fedorovich on the Morava River in Austria.
