Yalyshev Sergei Antonovich (1914-1981) was born in Penza province into a peasant family. In 1925, the family moved to the village of Mokhovaya, Vikulovsky District, Tyumen Region. He began his military service in 1936 as a cadet in a regimental school; in 1939, after graduating from the military-political school, he was appointed political instructor of the battery. Met the first day of the war on the Soviet-Lithuanian border in the city of Taurogen. He fought on the Northwestern, 2nd Baltic and 1st Belorussian fronts. He took part in the battles for the liberation of the cities of Latvia, Lithuania, East Prussia, Poland. In the photo, Sergei Antonovich is depicted in the days before the Berlin offensive in April 1945
