Private Ivan Grigoriev

Private Ivan Grigoriev (1925-1969) was born in the village of Borodino Vikulovskiy District. Called to the front by the Vikulovskiy District Military Commissariat on January 17, 1943. Sent to the Volga Military District to complement the 41st Rifle Division, nicknamed the "iron division" by the Nazis after fierce fighting. He was taken prisoner during the battles for the Gomel Region. He was libirated by the partisans, fought in a partisan detachment. After verification by the special service, he continued to fight in the ranks of the 41st Rifle Division. Participated in the Vistula-Oder operation. The photo shows Ivan Vasilyevich during the liberation of Poland in January 1945.
