Father Ananiev Yegor Timofeevich served for 25 years in the tsarist army, troops - cavalry, later served in the Red Army, troops - cavalry. R.E. Ananiev was the only child in the family. Ananyev Roman Yegorovich, at the beginning of the war - 1941: age 34, was married, had four young children: two daughters and two sons, the eldest son Ananiev Vasily Romanovich (great-grandfather of Ananyev Vladik) was 9 years old, before the war Ananiev R.E. graduated from Factory and workshop education railway transport, worked on the railway. In 1941, the Urazovsky District Military Commissariat of the Kursk Region was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army, fought in the 140th Infantry Regiment of the Western Front, the initial military rank: Red Army (private). Ski units of the Red Army: in the summer of 1942, separate ski brigades began to form centrally, to staff which were sent: sailors of the Pacific Fleet, cadets of schools, physically strong recruits, soldiers with front-line experience who knew how to ski. Purpose of creation: opposition to large enemy tank reserves. In November 1942, the Red Army soldier Roman Egorovich Ananyev was included in the 40th separate ski brigade, which was formed on the basis of the 140 Western Rifle Regiment. According to the Central Archives of the USSR Ministry of Defense: By the beginning of 1943, R. E. Ananyev was the commander of a section of the 40th separate ski brigade. In January 1943 he took part in battles in the Leningrad region. According to report No. 6736 about irrecoverable losses: January 28, 1943 Ananyev Roman Yegorovich was killed in battle. He was buried in the forest, in a mass grave 3 km north-west of the village of Volovka, Polevsky district of the Leningrad region.
