Adamov Mikhei Andreevich
CITY: Belorussian SSR, Mogilev region, village Mateevshchina DATE OF BIRTH: 01/01/1904 DATE OF DEATH: 08/15/1944 HISTORY: Title: Red Army soldier. Type of troops: - ground forces, - air force (except naval aviation), - coastal service, - troops of the NKVD, - border troops. My great-grandfather, Adamov Mikhei Andreevich, was born in 1904. By the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, he had 6 children: three boys and three girls, one of them, the youngest, my own grandfather Adamov Vasily was born in 1941, he then told about everything he remembered. His father, Mikhei Andreevich, was a stout and healthy dark-haired man. They lived with their family in the village of Mateevshchina, Mogilev region, Byelorussian SSR. And then the war came. In 1943, Mikhei Andreevich went to the partisans. It was a terrible time. When the Germans arrived, one of the neighbors told them that the head of the family was fighting in a partisan detachment. The Nazis tortured Mikhei's wife, Matryona Filippovna, beat him to death with sticks, trying to find out where the partisans were located, but she did not tell. Then the neighbors poured water over the poor woman. My grandfather, who was already three years old then, remembered how the Germans shot at his feet forcing him to dance the polka. And he was small and did not understand what was happening, but he remembered that it was scary. And then Adamov Mikhei Andreevich decided to go to the front. Mikhei's wife accompanied him for 3 km to the village of Makarintsy holding my three-year-old grandfather in her arms. Then a lot happened. My grandfather remembered how they, together with their mother, brothers and sisters, sat in a dugout under the bombardment and ate rotten potatoes. I remembered how my mother had said that the Germans had gone to Moscow. Then we drove the Germans back. Soviet soldiers were already walking through the village and life was gradually getting better. And then in 1944 a death notice came: Adamov Mikhei Andreevich died during the liberation of Poland. The place of death is considered to be the Bialystok region, Osovetsky district, the village of Khyliny. Grandfather said that immediately after the war, mother - Matryona Filippovna went to the burial place. But when she was gone, we lost part of the memories of that terrible time. But my grandfather kept them for life. Later, as an adult man, he served in Germany for five years in the missile forces and rose to the rank of captain. He tried to find information about his father, but nothing worked. He is the only one left from our family who remembers what war is. And for the sake of him, I found information about where my great-grandfather Adamov Mikhey Andreevich died and may be buried. Perhaps this is the village of Hiliny Lesne in Poland. Memorial Makuv Mazowiecki. We knew little about our ancestor that he laid down his life for the sake of all of us today to live on our land under a peaceful sky. And we didn't even have anything left of him, except for one photograph, because the great-grandmother said that he did not like to be photographed. She also said that the eldest son of Mikhei Andreevich Fyodor was very similar to his father, he also served in Germany, but in aviation. To my grandfather, who is now 74 years old, I promised that I would find the grave of his father and my great-grandfather and pay the last tribute to the memory and say: "Thank you grandfather for the Victory !!!"
