Antonov Alexander Petrovich has passed an interesting life path that deserves to be told about it. He was born in 1921. He spent his childhood in the city of Ostrov, Pskov region, lived with his mother, his father worked in Leningrad. The city of Ostrov was a closed town because it was located near the Latvian border. There was no special entertainment there, so everyone was very happy when in the summer the theater. Lensovet from Leningrad. Sasha was 16 years old when he played his first role: it was the role of Senor Grassini in the play "The Gadfly". Apparently, Sasha inherited his artistry from his grandfather, who sang at the court opera in the Winter Palace. Sasha dreamed of a career as an artist, but his father wanted to see his son as a military doctor and insisted that after graduating from school, Sasha entered the Military Medical Academy at the naval faculty. The son went to submit the documents to the admissions office, and what was his father's surprise when Sasha returned enrolled in the Leningrad Aviation Technical School. Sasha was sure that the school trains pilots. Then it turned out that the school was graduating technicians, but it was too late to change anything. It was the 39th year ... None of the 17-18 year olds suspected that their carefree youth would end so soon and all of them would have to pass a severe test. In 1939-1941. studied at the 2nd Leningrad VATU named after Leningrad Red Banner Komsomol. He took the military oath on November 24, 1939. In May 1941, he was appointed to the post of armament mechanic of the Tula 171 Fighter Aviation Regiment 15 Air Force (the commander of the 171st Fighter Aviation Regiment - Lieutenant Colonel S.I. Orlyakhin - until March 1944, from March 1944 - General- Major Ivlev Stefan Trofimovich). On June 22, 1941, the war with Nazi Germany began. We worked in difficult conditions, in any weather. Day and night it was necessary to bring the aircraft damaged in battles on alert. Member of the Great Patriotic War. Prepared aircraft armament for 1783 sorties, provided repair and restoration of armament for 42 fighter aircraft. He achieved such a state of affairs when on aircraft returning from a combat mission, damaged weapons were restored immediately. He organized all the work at night. During the war, the arriving young weapons personnel managed to teach how to work in a combat situation and prepare weapons for combat missions on aircraft (LA-5; I-16; I-153; MiG-3) perfectly well. In March 1944, at the Lemno airfield, a group of technicians, headed by Antonov A.P., hastily prepared LA-5 aircraft for departure. At this time, enemy aircraft U-87 suddenly appeared over the airfield and launched a bomb attack. One of the bombs fell and exploded near the plane, which was being prepared by A.P. Antonov's group. As a result of the explosion and a powerful shock wave, Antonov A.P. was severely wounded and contused, received damage to the eardrum of the left ear (from the memoirs of the former commander of the aviation squadron of the 171st fighter regiment of the 315th fighter aviation division of the 15th Air Army, Major General S.Ivlev. T). In the process of post-war communication, Alexander Petrovich constantly complained about the painful sensations received as a result of injury and concussion. He fought as deputy chief mechanic for armaments of an aviation squadron. He joined the CPSU at the front in 1943. He was awarded medals "For Courage", "For Military Merit", two Orders of the Red Star, Orders "For Service to the Motherland in the Armed Forces" II degree, Patriotic War II degree, other medals and honorary awards of the Government. For excellent service, the command sent Antonov A.P. to Moscow to enroll in the Air Force Engineering Academy of N.E. Zhukovsky. From 1946-1951 - student of the Faculty of Aviation Weapons. 1951-1954 - Adjunct of the Department of Remotely Controlled Rocket Weapons. He defended his Ph.D. thesis in November 1954. In July 1966 he was awarded the title of Senior Researcher. From 1956-1970 - Deputy Head of the Research Department of the V.V. Zhukovsky. 1970-1977 - Head of the Research Department of the Academy. Retired in October 1977. Since that time, he served as the Academic Secretary of the Academy and the Doctor's Special Council of the USSR Military Attestation Commission. Combat route: from August 21, 1941 to July 6, 1942 - in the Tula air defense system; from July 6, 1942 to October 30, 1943 - Bryansk Front; from October 30, 1943 to July 12, 1944 - the 2nd Baltic Front. He passed away on April 2, 2003.
