Ilya Vasilievich Shabanov.
Participant of the Nikopol–Krivoy Rog Offensive Operation as part of the 34th Rifle Corps of the 3rd Ukrainian Front. Native of Yevpatoria city I. V. Shabanov was drafted into the ranks of Red Army in 1939 by the Yevpatoria Regional Military Commissariat of the Crimean ASSR (Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic). At the front since August 1942. During the offensives of the Soviet troops Sergeant Shabanov I. V., rifleman and scout of the 455th Separate Recon Company of the 394th Rifle Division was awarded the Medal "For Battle Merit" (23.02.1944).
