Shevkun (Volkova) Ekaterina Anisimovna (1921-2007). She was born and lived until June 1941 in Slantsy town, Leningrad Region, on the border with Finland. In the first days of the war she was evacuated with her mother and one-year-old son to the home front. Her first husband, a military pilot, perished in the first days of the war in air battles (but as it turned out after the war the information was incorrect due to confusion, he survived and found her after the war when she was already in her second marriage). She was sent to Chufarovo village, Sergach District. Home Front Worker. Decorated with numerous awards.
