Born in 1907, native of Slavyanka village, Chebulinsky District, Kemerovo Region. He was called up to the front by the Chebulinsky Regional Military Commissariat in September 1941. He fought in the 687th Rifle Regiment, near Novgorod. As a Rifleman of the Central Front Rifle Regiment he actively participated in offensive battles and was seriously wounded in the leg and left hand during the liberation of Novgorod city. He was awarded the Medal "For Courage", the Order of Glory 3rd class, the Medal "For Battle Merit" and other awards.
