Demidova Valentina Yegorovna was born on April 11, 1924 in the village of Dubovka, Krasnoarmeisky District, Saratov Region. She was 18 and lived in his native village when the war began, just on the day of graduation of school. She was appointed head of the oil depot by the district committee of Komsomol Young Communist League and sent to the village of Ilovatka, Stalingrad region. On May 10, 1942, she was drafted by the Gorodishche district military commission of Stalingrad region. From May 10, 1942 to April 10, 1943, she served in an anti-aircraft battery as a gunner. Due to injury she was discharged on April 10, 1943. From April 12, 1944 to November 15, 1946 she worked as head of canteen in a subsidiary farm of G.U.O.S.-K.A.
