Nikolai Egorovich Bogomolov was born on March 27, 1925, in the village of Rogatkino, Krasnoarmeisky District, Saratov Region. He was 16 and lived in his native village when the war began. He worked digging trenches in his collective farm until 1942. In 1942 he went to war and joined 2nd Belorussian Front. He stayed there until the end of war. He was number two in machine gun crew. On February 19, 1943 was wounded in the left leg, and on April, 2, 1945 he was seriously wounded in the right shoulder. After that he was discharged. He met Victory in hospital. He was awarded with Order of Glory 3rd class, Order of Fatherland 1st class, and the medal 65 years of Victory in Great Patriotic War1941-1945. In 1962 he got married, 3 children were born.
