Nikolai Mizin was born in the village of Korovinka, Sergach District. During the Great Patriotic War he was a recon. In January 1943, he died under torture of Nazis in the village of Volno-Don, Rostov Region. He died with the words: "I won't tell you anything, you bastards! You will kill me, but you are doomed yourselves!"
