Fokin Vasily Timofeevich. Born on 03.041918 in the village Mais. He graduated from elementary school only. Drafted into the army 18.09.1939. From the beginning of the war, he was an Antitank Company rifleman of the 44th motorized rifle brigade. He took part in the battles at Stalingrad where he was wounded. After the hospital he got into the battles near the Kursk Bulge and was again wounded in the shoulder. After this injury, he was demobilized.
