Selyanin Georgy Georgievich was born on November 18, 1917 in the village of Rebrikha. He lost his father early and was brought up in the family of his stepfather. Since childhood, he painted well and dreamed of becoming an artist. There was nothing to draw on, then there was no superfluous paper - he drew with charcoal on birch bark, painted on the window pane covered with frost. He graduated from school in 1934 and began working as a typesetter in the local regional newspaper "Work of a collective farmer". In 1936 entered the Omsk Art School, but circumstances did not allow to finish my studies. From September 1939 to April 1943, Georgy Selyanin served in the Far East in Manchuria as a draftman of the 182nd Howitzer-Artillery Regiment, and from 1943 he liberated Belarus
