My great-grandfather was born on 11.09.1917 in the village of Pokrovskaya Archada, Kamensky district of Penza region. He participated in the armed conflict on Khalkhin-Gol in 1939, in the Soviet-Finnish War of 1939-1940 and in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. After the war he participated in the conflict with Japan. He returned home without injuries in 1946. For excellent fighting in the Far East against the Japanese on 23.08.1945 he was thanked personally from Comrade Stalin. He was awarded medals: for the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945; for the Victory over Japan in the Great Patriotic War; Zhukov Medal; Medal of Labor Veteran; Order of the Great Patriotic War of II degree; (Student of 3rd class Kudishina Elizabeth).
