A snapshot of the war years. In the photo on the right, Alexey Afanasyevich Dekhonov (born in 1915) - a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a resident of Seversk. Drafted into the army from Tomsk. Staff Sergeant. He was twice wounded in the battles near Smolensk and, after being in the hospital, was transferred to the Volokolamsk direction. He fought in the 2nd Guards Corps of General Dovator. Raids on enemy rear lines. In 1943, he was commissioned for injury. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree. For 20 years before retirement he worked at the Seversk Chemical Combine. On the back of the photo, at the top, there is an inscription in graphite pencil: "Sergeant Dekhonov // Military doctor Sokolov // head of the cell Tsaplin"
