Partisans of the detachment named after D. E. Kravtsov receive letters delivered from the "Big Land"
The Bryansk city partisan detachment, commanded by Dmitry Efimovich Kravtsov, was formed in August 1941. From the first days of the occupation of the native land, the detachment began to conduct active hostilities. By the way, famous Valentina Safronova, later awarded with the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, was the scout of this partisan detachment. After the death of D. E. Kravtsov (on the night of 13-14 December 1941), Mikhail Ilyich Duka was appointed the commander of the detachment. At the request of the partisans, the detachment was named after the deceased commander. On November 19, 1942, the detachment became part of the partisan brigade of the same name.
