During the war with Vasily Ivanovich, there were many remarkable episodes. _x000D_ He had to fight as a sniper, fight off a German with a porridge bowler after getting out of a wrecked tank, fall into the tank under the ice during a crossing, shake off German soldiers trying to capture a stalled tank from the armor. But the most notable episode in the life of Vasily Ivanovich was in January 1945 in Poland. Kilometers of filmed film, dozens, hundreds of films and stories, diplomas and prizes of festivals and competitions are a worthy result of creative teams, achieved under the skillful leadership of A.L. Pevzner. But he did not forget the army, to which he gave half of his life. _x000D_ For his patronage work, the Minister of Defense of the USSR Marshal Andrei Grechko awarded A.L. Pevzner Certificate of Merit in connection with the 50th anniversary of the Armed Forces. A.L. Pevzner was born before the Soviet Union and survived it, a state that he faithfully served, which he defended, not sparing his life. On 5 June, a fierce tank combat broke out. The Nazis launched an offensive at dawn. Hundreds, hundreds of new heavy "tigers", "panthers", self-propelled guns "Ferdinand" were thrown against the Soviet troops. The cadets eagerly caught the reports of the Information Bureau on military actions and looked forward to the day of graduation. Everyone was eager to go to the war front. For three years he learned the art of piloting and air combat. And finally, he made farewell to the school, to friends, to pilot-instructors. _x000D_ He flew his first combat mission in 1944. In total, he made 632 flights during the war, flying more than 200 hours in the air. In less than two years, he participated in 78 air battles. He has three shot down German fighters on his account.
