Myakshin Ilya Grigoryevich_x000D_ My great-grandfather, Ilya Grigoryevich Myakshin, was born on August 2, 1910, in the village of Mikhailovskaya of the Chadromsky rural Council of the Arkhangelsk region. From June 1941, he fought on the Northern front, and from November 9, 1941, he fought as a hand machine gunner on the North-Western front in 56th separate barrage detachment of 27th Army with the rank of Corporal. _x000D_ During the war, he was awarded the Order of the Red Star, was wounded three times, one of which was very severe, and a shell fragment remained in his body, next to the spine, for the rest of his life. Ilya Grigoryevich finished his military career in Romania and returned home in the summer of 1945 with the rank of Sergeant. _x000D_ From February 24, 1943 to February 28, 1943, Myakshin Ilya Grigoryevich was part of the support group of 127 Separate Rifle Brigade. He moved forward in front of the combat lines with a hand machine gun and blew up two enemy machine guns. On March 4 and 5, 1943, in the combats near the city of Penno, he destroyed up to 15 enemy soldiers with a hand-held machine gun fire.
