Nikolai Kirillovich Petrov was born in 1926, drafted into the army in 1943 by the Pokhvistnevsky district military commissariat. He participated in the liberation of China from the Japanese imperialists as part of the troops of the First Far Eastern Front as a mortar man with the rank of senior sergeant. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree, the medal "For Victory over Japan", jubilee medals. He was discharged from the army in 1952.
