Deryabin Ivan Mikhailovich (1924-1956). Born in Novokopilovo village, Sorokinsky district. At the age of 18 he was drafted into the Red Army. He fought on the Western, Belorussian fronts. Participated in the war with Japan. He was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree, the Order of the Red Star, medals "For the capture of Königsberg", "For the victory over Germany", "For the victory over Japan”. In 1947 he was demobilized to the Altai.
