The family had five children, Sergey was the eldest. Sergei went to the first class of More-Vecherinki primary school in 1930. Later he studied in Bolshoy-Royalskiyl 7-year School, where he was among the best students. He was instructed to make after classes a wall Newspapers, posters, signs. After finishing school, he entered the Marie-Belomorskiy Pedagogical College. Suvorov was drafted into the army on August 12, 1941. On July 12, 1942, a platoon of the 774th Rifle Regiment conducted a reconnaissance battle of the front edge of the enemy's defense near the village of Agafino (Khopilovo?). The soldiers, led by the platoon commander, Second Lieutenant Shandrikov, Political Officer Lapshin, overcame two lines of wire barriers and entered the battle. A group of submachine gunners, which included Suvorov, pursuing the retreating enemy, broke forward and was cut off from their unit by a barrage of mortar fire. The group leader and other soldiers were killed. Suvorov left alone and wounded, led an unequal battle all day until the evening. During the first two hours, repelling the onslaught of the enemy, he destroyed 10 German soldiers and wounded many. The enemy opened heavy mortar and machine-gun fire on the Soviet soldier's position. Then, believing him dead, they went forward, but were again met with sub-machine gun fire. It was only at night that the paramedics pulled him out from under enemy fire. 22 corpses of German soldiers laid near the trench, and there were seven wounds on the body of a soviet soldier._x000D_ In fourth day, on July 17, Red Army soldier Suvorov died from wounds in the hospital of the 391st Separate Medical Sanitary Battalion of the 222nd Rifle Division. The primary burial place was the Musino cemetery. Subsequently, he was reburied in the village of Iznoski, Iznoskovskiy District of Kaluga Region in a mass grave, where a Park is now laid out and a monument to the hero stands._x000D_ By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 31, 1943, for courage and heroism shown in the battles with the Nazi invaders, the Red Army soldier Sergey Suvorov was awarded the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin (posthumously).
