Nikolay Trofimovich Vedyun
Born on January 28, 1920, in Kamyshevakha stanitsa, Popasnyansky district, Donetsk region, into a working-class family. He participated in the Great Patriotic War and Soviet-Japanese War. In July 1941, he was admitted to the CPSU by the primary party organization of the 1st aviation squadron of the 98th Long-Range Aviation Regiment. Awarded with the orders “For Service in the Fatherland War” first class, “For Service in the Fatherland War” second class, “Red Star”, and medals “For Defence of Moscow,” “For Victory over Germany,” and “For Capture of Berlin.” From 1975 to 1981, he worked at the institute as head of special department. #NIRHTU

Served under Marshal Rokossovskiy. Awarded Order of the Red Star, Medal for Courage, Medals for Liberation of Sevastopol, Stalingrad, Czechoslovakia. Finished the war in Prague. Died in 1947 due to wounds sustained during combat, at home.
