Dvinin Yuriy Borisovich
The photo shows Dwinin Yuri Borisovich, born in Sarapul, Udmurt Republic, in 1925. His parents were civil servants: his mother was a teacher, and his father was an accountant. He attended secondary school No. 16. After completing seven grades in 1940, he enrolled in the Leningrad Hydromelioration College but studied there only for two months. Yuri then started working as an auxiliary worker in the first workshop at Ordzhonikidze Factory No. 203. Eager to go to the front line, he was drafted into the army on November 11, 1943. He trained at the Sverdlovsk Military Tank School. He was killed on October 5, 1944, and is buried in Latvia.
