The Great Patriotic War

Vinogradov Ivan Grigoryevich_x000D_ _x000D_ Ivan Grigoryevich Vinogradov was born in 1914 in Vitebsk, Belorussian SSR. He began serving in the red Army in 1936. After graduating from the 1st Ulyanovsk guards twice red banner, order of the red Star tank school named after V. I. Lenin, he was sent to the front. He fought in the 20th tank brigade of the 1st Belorussian front, which was included in the 11th tank corps and participated in the famous battle of Kursk. On July 19, 1944, the 20th tank brigade was ordered to break through the enemy's defenses and capture the town of siedlec, which was well prepared for defense and was one of the main strong points on the outskirts of Warsaw. For the liberation of the city, the 20th tank red banner order of Suvorov brigade was awarded the honorary name "sedletskaya". Studying archival documents, we learned that during the breakthrough of a strongly fortified German defense point in the area of Zeleevsky heights on April 17, 1945, and in subsequent battles to the suburbs of Berlin, our grandfather, in the most difficult and decisive moments of the battle, by personal example of bravery and fearlessness, led tank crews to combat feats, which decided the success of the battle. Personally, using tank weapons and tank tracks, he destroyed: an anti-tank battery, two anti-aircraft guns, two medium tanks, and up to 120 German soldiers and officers. In these battles, he was wounded three times, but did not leave the battlefield and continued to be in the battle lines of tanks. My grandfather finished the war in Berlin with the rank of captain. For valor and bravery displayed in battles against the German invaders was awarded the Order of red Star, order of the red banner twice Order of the Patriotic war I degree.

Fyodor Mikhailovich Vologzhanin_x000D_ _x000D_ Fyodor Mikhailovich from Vologda was born in 1926 in the village of Prokopevka. When the war began, he, a fifteen-year-old boy, took part in all the working days of the rear. He had to be on duty at the fire tower, help with the preparation of material for skis and gun butts, work on road construction. In 1943, Fyodor Mikhailovich was called up to serve in the Vologda region in the 66th reserve artillery regiment, which was being trained for the front. In June 1944 he was among the best fighters sent to the front. He began to serve in the coastal defense division, guarding the city of Arkhangelsk. The guns were very close to the Bank of the Severnaya Dvina river and the anti-aircraft gunners were constantly on the alert: it was impossible to allow the Nazis to break through to the city. After serving until November 1945, Fyodor Mikhailovich went to a regimental school on the Norwegian border, where they trained squad leaders. In may, he graduated and joined a regiment near Norway. In may 1950, among the best, Vologda participated in the meeting of Department commanders-excellent service-in Petrozavodsk. From may to October 1950, Fyodor Mikhailovich taught cadets at the regimental school. And after being discharged at the end of October of the same year, he returned to his homeland and began working in a forest center. 25 years in charge of a collective farm sawmill. Together with his wife Vera Mikhailovna, they raised and raised seven children. He was awarded the orders of the Patriotic war of the 1st and 2nd degree, the medals "for labor distinction", the Zhukov medal and other commemorative medals. He passed away in December 2004.

Vetrenko Pyotr Gavrilovich_x000D_ _x000D_ Rank: Junior Sergeant Type of troops: Artillery Unit: 305th infantry Belgorod red banner order of Suvorov and Kutuzov division Vetrenko Pyotr Gavrilovich. Born on January 21, 1926. When the war started, he was 15 years old. My father and older brother were called up from the first days of the war. He remained in charge of the family and took care of his mother and five younger siblings. In 1942, when our region was occupied, they had a particularly difficult time, but he did his best. The times were hard, life was hard, and hiding in basements from the atrocities of the Nazi-occupiers and attacks. Hatred of the enemy was growing stronger, the boys were looking for ways to harm the Nazis in every possible way. Once they found a grenade. While they were trying to figure out what to blow up, it exploded itself and severely injured dad's fingers. The Germans came running to the sound of the explosion, put him and a friend in a car and took them to the commandant's office in Korocha.on the way, our people recaptured the car and saved the boys from being shot. Dad said that he was already 18 years old to go to the front, although he was not yet 18 years old.March 5, 1943 " in the battles for our Soviet Homeland against the Nazi invaders, in the battles for the city of Belgorod as part of the 305th rifle division as a Rifleman, Junior Sergeant Vetrenko Pyotr Gavrilovich was wounded in the right hand."In 1943, with the rank of Junior Sergeant, he was Appointed commander of the commandant's Department of the 512 anti-Aircraft Artillery regiment of the Air defense, and was presented with the medal "for MILITARY MERIT". The award documents say "for the time of service in the regiment ml. Sergeant Vetrenko has shown himself to be disciplined, demanding of himself and his subordinates, knows his business well, treats his official duties conscientiously, and enjoys authority. For military services in the battles for our Motherland and the blood spilled, for conscientious service in the red Army, he is worthy of being awarded the government medal "for MILITARY MERIT". My father was very reluctant to talk about the war. He said that it was a very terrible war and it is better for us not to know about it. Only after his death in 1999, we found some documents and awards, although my aunt claims that there were many more. Later, he was also awarded the medal "for BRAVERY", the order of the"Patriotic war II degree". Dad was very modest and never showed awards. Nor did he consider his service a feat. Spoken: "Everyone fought, beat the enemy as best they could." He returned from the war in 1946 from Murmansk. He always lived very honestly and correctly, and was a man of high moral principles. I worked all my life and raised five children with my mother. He had the titles of war Veteran and labor Veteran. He always taught us to live together, take care of our family and love our Homeland.

Varganov, Sergey Grigorievich_x000D_ _x000D_ Sergey Grigoryevich Varganov (1917-14. 09. 1971) Sergey Grigoryevich Varganov was one of nine children in a large family of the master of the mechanical shop of the iron foundry of Kusa Grigory Grigoryevich and his wife Anna Grigoryevna Varganov. From a boy's age, Sergey became interested in technology. In my dreams, I imagined myself as either a pilot or a tank driver… But he clearly understood that without a good school education, dreams can only remain dreams. Among the few peers, Sergey graduated from the ninth year, and for the beginning of the thirties-this is a fairly high education… At the same time, he mastered the profession of a locksmith well. At the age of 22, he joined the party. His career developed rapidly. From October 1928 to April 1931, Sergey Varganov passed five stages of promotion from the driver of an agricultural cartel to the head of the commercial financial Department of an agricultural machinery plant. In April 1931, by the decision of the Central Committee of the CPSU(b) and the recommendation of the Regional Committee of the CPSU(b), he was sent to the Orenburg aviation school for pilot training, where he completed a five-month training course. However, the requirements that were imposed on future pilots during permanent medical commissions were very strict. Therefore, after almost six months of training, many cadets were faced with the fact that they would not have to fly. For this reason, at the end of 1931, Sergey Varganov was among the 27 pilots sent to the Orel armored school. After finishing school with "excellent", he was sent to the Leningrad tank school as a commander of a cadet platoon. Six months later, he continued his studies at the 10-month courses at the Moto-mekhvoisk Academy in Moscow. At the beginning of the great Patriotic war, captain Varganov, by order of the command of the Leningrad military district, as an excellent technical specialist, was sent to the Pushkin tank school to train military personnel, which the Red Army urgently needed. Sending to the front was preceded by work in 1943 at the Higher armored school in Magnitogorsk. Major Varganov received his baptism of fire on the Ukrainian front as part of the 27th army of the 320th rifle division as head of the operational Department. In the front-line memories of Sergei Grigoryevich, the smallest details of each of the battles that he went through during the war years remained until the end of his days. I talked to him a lot and I know how hard and unforgettable these memories were for the front-line soldier. He talked a lot about the Iasi-Kishinev operation that took place from August 20 to August 29, 1944, which is one of the outstanding strategic operations of the Soviet troops. It was led by the commander of the 2nd Ukrainian front F. I. Tolbukhin. In an exceptionally short time, Soviet troops inflicted a crushing defeat on the German group "southern Ukraine", which lost 22 divisions of the Wehrmacht in this direction. In these fierce battles, the t-34 tank, commanded by Varganov, knocked out two "tigers". The first military award of the Order of the red Star was awarded to Sergey Grigoryevich for courage shown in these battles. - The closer we got to the capital of Romania, Bucharest, the fiercer was the resistance of the fascists, - recalled Sergey Grigorievich. – The battle for one of the strategically important heights was particularly difficult. All day long we exchanged incessant heavy fire. The enemy tried to keep the height at any cost. Advance was hindered by a dense barrage, which forced the infantry to lie down. Our tank stopped with a broken track after a direct hit… Wounded in this battle in the left leg, Varganov managed to pull the driver out of the Smoking tank, for which he was presented by the command to the medal "for military merit". As another milestone on the long front-line path, Sergey Grigoryevich recalled the heavy, protracted battles during the liberation of Budapest. - Despite strong enemy resistance, German troops in the left – Bank part of the Hungarian capital, pest, were destroyed on January 18. But in Buda – the right-Bank part of The city, they lasted a long time. When the outcome of the fighting was already decided, on the night of February 11, the Germans moved with all their available forces to break through. At this time, we were in the tanks, and our "thirty-four" almost at point-blank range met the "tiger". I ordered the driver to deploy the tank to fire on the side of the enemy tank. Two volleys hit the target, and the German tank began to smoke and burst into flames… Probably, the military events near Budapest were especially memorable for Sergey Grigoryevich. A lot of things reminded the veteran of those days for the rest of his life. This is a repeated injury, and the consequences of hypothermia in the swamps, where he was among a small group of soldiers had to hide, being surrounded. Then it was not about saving their own lives – the group kept the most expensive soldier's relic-the battle banner. Major Varganov's services in the battle for Budapest were awarded the order of the red Star, the order of the Patriotic war, II degree, and the medal for the capture of Budapest. The composition of the 3rd Ukrainian front, 27th army infantry regiment 320 Mr Sergey Varganov to the rank of major and the post of chief of the operations division held a front way with the liberation battles in Bulgaria and Yugoslavia. The great Patriotic war ended for him in Austria. The veteran always remembered Victory day on may 9 with special warmth. - After we heard the word "surrender" on the radio in German, it became clear that this is a long – awaited Victory. We were immediately given a rest. At first, we were struck by the piercing silence that followed. All around them, the greenery was raging, and all around them, the silence was ringing in my ears. And we, no longer afraid, walked through the famous Viennese forest… From Austria, as part of the 27th army, Lieutenant Colonel S. G. Varganov returned to the USSR on August 11, 1945. For his family and friends, his return was doubly joyful, like the resurrection from the dead… Because the message with the wording "missing" they mourned at the very end of the war. The military profession was given to the next years of life until 1954, when Sergey Grigoryevich Varganov retired from the Army for health reasons. The Budapest swamps made themselves felt for the rest of his life, his legs failed, and he was forced to walk with a cane. We regret to note that it is not always the same sign that a person mourned alive later lives up to 100 years… Sergey Grigoryevich passed away at the age of 65… Son – In-Law Hapochkin Gennady Alekseevich.

Verkhovodov Vladimir Vasilyevich_x000D_ _x000D_ Verkhovodov Vladimir Vasilyevich did not like to talk about the war, these memories caused him painful feelings, tears welled up in his eyes. Here is what little I have learned from his children. In 1938, he was drafted into the army in Moscow, and served in Minsk. In 1941, the second world war began. Vladimir Vasilyevich was transferred to the Western front. Division: 338th rifle division(1st formation). He began his service as an ordinary soldier. For military services, he was promoted to senior Lieutenant. In 1943, he was accepted into the Communist party. More than once fate tested him: he was twice wounded in the abdominal cavity and in the legs - but survived! I survived so that I could tell my children about everything I had experienced and seen. From the certificate No. 5919 of August 16, 1943, issued by the hospital No. 854s/p277s/d, I learned that after treatment, my great-grandfather was commissioned from the army to the reserve and sent by the military commander to Kazakhstan to train conscripts in the army. He was awarded the order of the red Star, the order of the Patriotic war I degree and other medals. From the document: "Comrade Verkhovodov December 22, 1942 at 22: 00, during an attack by German intelligence on the combat guard of the 7th rifle company in the area of the mouth of the Sobesa river, where telephone communication with the combat guard was interrupted, and the company commander who was there was wounded. Comrade Verkhovodov under a hurricane of enemy artillery mortar fire crossed the Ugra river and took command of the combat guard, skillfully and quickly organized a repulse of the enemy attack. By his personal example of courage, rushing into the most dangerous places and skilful organization of the battle, he did not allow the enemy to carry out his plan. Worthy of governmental award - Medal "For military merit" After the war, Vladimir came to the village Karayashnyk Olkhovatka district Saronikou region. There he worked as the head of a grain warehouse. In the direction of the Communist party, he was sent to the city of Voronezh to study at the party school. After graduating from the party school, he worked as a master of the construction team, and was transferred to Private security as an inspector. Before retirement, he worked as a Director of the collective farm market. In 1978, he went on a well-deserved rest. Vladimir Vasilyevich died in 1986 and is buried in the cemetery of The zabolotovka settlement in the Olkhovatsky district of the Voronezh region.

Vernigora Peter Fedorovich_x000D_ _x000D_ Military branch: the Soviet Navy and Naval forces of the NKVD border troops. Vernigora Pyotr Fedorovich was born on December 19, 1921 in the village of Gora-Podol in the Grayvoronsky district of the Kursk region. Before the war, he graduated from Grayvoron high school. In 1940, Grayvoronsky military enlistment office was called up for military service. He was assigned to the Baltic fleet. At the beginning, he received a degree in hydroacoustics in Kronstadt. When the war began, P. F. Vernigora was enlisted in the staff of the submarine. But when the Germans bombed it right at the pier, he was transferred to another, larger boat. In the book of V. I. Dmitriev "Attack submariners" there are these lines: "... on October 6, 1944, the submarine "Shch-407" won its first victory. She sank in the district of Memel transport "Leda". And the next day, the submarine "Shch-407" in the afternoon attacked another enemy ship with torpedoes. It turned out to be a trap ship. Due to its low landing, the torpedoes did not hit the target. After the torpedo attack, the trap ship chased the submarine for about a day and a half." This is about the boat on which P. F. Vernigora served. Pyotr Fyodorovich remembered that campaign well. They had been cruising the area for several days, but there was no suitable target. Finally, during lunch, the officer of the watch noticed a large transport accompanied by several anti-submarine ships through the periscope. The commander's order for a torpedo attack followed. A few minutes later, the command "Fire!" rang out, and two torpedoes raced toward the transport. The roar of the explosion of one of the torpedoes that hit the ship's side did not take long. A retaliatory attack by the guard ships immediately followed. Depth charges began to explode around the submarine one after another. There was a hum in the submarine's compartments from the powerful hydraulic blows to the hull. From the closest breaks from the walls, the cork coating bounced, light bulbs burst, and equipment was torn off the slipways. In this situation, everything depended on the skill of the commander, and of course, on the skill of the sonar. He reported every maneuver of the enemy to the commander. Well, the latter, armed with complete and accurate information about the enemy, managed to outwit him in the end, and all managed to escape unharmed. And then they came across the ill-fated trap ship. They fired a torpedo at it. The commander clearly saw that it had hit the middle of the ship. But it turned out that the ship was sitting too high in the water, and the torpedo passed below her keel. The design of the torpedoes was such that they could not go less than two meters from the surface of the water. This is what the Germans played for. They built vessels with a draft of less than two meters, and made them trap vessels that were invulnerable to torpedoes. After the failed attack, they had to leave the enemy ships for more than a day and a half. 148 depth charges were dropped on them. From their breaks, among other things, jammed the sword, a recently installed sonar installation of English production. And as soon as the submarine broke away from the pursuit, the commander gave the order to fix the problem in two hours. Pyotr Fyodorovich opened the shaft of the installation, pulled out a half-ton sword on hoists and repaired it. The order was executed on time. But during the repair, his hands were so raw that he was in bandages for more than two weeks, and the scars from those wounds remained for life. Not only bombs, mines and shells brought death to submariners. There was danger at every turn. So one day their submarine, while evading pursuit, ran into a damaged ship and damaged one of the damaged shafts so that it jammed. From the very coast of Germany, they had to return to Turku on one rampart. Another time, a submarine was sucked into an underwater cave during a twelve-ball storm. There was no forward or backward movement. It was as if they were buried alive in a stone bag. But then the commander with the help of special tricks still managed to escape from the stone trap. And the life of sailors on a submarine was not sugar. Only the commander had a microscopic cabin, and even that one hung under the battery pit, and the rest of the crew even had one bed for two. Therefore, sometimes you had to sleep right at the bottom of the hold, often half-submerged in salty sea water. However, the food was good. And when he came out of the trip, the crew brought no bread with salt, and roast suckling pig. In total, P. F. Vernigora took part in four campaigns, in which they sank four enemy transports. Their total displacement was several tens of thousands of tons. This was the best result in the Navy for their class of boats. For the courage and heroism shown in battles with the enemy, Pyotr Vernigora was awarded the order of the red Star and the Patriotic war, the medals "for bravery", "for the defense of Leningrad, "for the capture of Konigsberg", "Admiral Ushakov" and others. He cherished the flag of the Navy and was proud to have served in the Navy. In 1948, Pyotr Fedorovich retired to the reserve. Pyotr Fyodorovich devoted more than 40 years to work in the public education system, headed the Zamostyansk, Dobroselskaya school. Then, until his retirement, he worked as a teacher of physics and mathematics in the Mountain-Podolsk school. After leaving for a well-deserved rest, Pyotr Fyodorovich continued to participate in the social life of the village. Vernigora P. F. died in January 2005, but the memories of this brave warrior and good man will always remain in the memory of the residents of the village of Gora-Podol

Volyntseva Klavdiya Vasilyevna_x000D_ _x000D_ Branch of the armed forces: signal Troops. Participant of the great Patriotic war. Claudia V. Volyntseva was born and lived all his life in the village Ligovo. Her mother was illiterate, but smart and economic woman, she worked on a collective farm and was engaged in raising children. My father, on the other hand, was a very educated man and held a leading position on the collective farm. Klavdia Vasilyevna followed in his footsteps, starting to work in the district Committee, later she worked at the plant of electronic devices and at the district consumer service plant. In 1942, she was called to the front and assigned as a radio operator in the Smolensk division. She had a very fine ear: because of this peculiarity, she sometimes had to work outside of her shift on the orders of the management team. By the way, after the announcement of the victory over Nazi Germany, Claudia Vasilyevna was not in a hurry to let go home, it was even about sending her to Japan, but in the end she still returned to her native village. Unfortunately, now Klavdia Vasilyevna hears very poorly-several strokes and a heart attack affected her. A long time ago, Claudia Vasilyevna allowed her medals and orders to be used as props in a theatrical production, but they were not returned to her. After the war, Claudia Vasilyevna married an officer, but their family life did not work out, they separated. She later remarried: the spouse, by the way, was also a second marriage. The result of a happy married life is five smart, caring children. Claudia Vasilyevna was awarded the honorary title "Mother heroine".

Vartazarov Ashot Aleksandrovich_x000D_ _x000D_ Vartazarov Ashot 29.09.1924 Alexandrovich was born in the city of Ordzhonikidze. He told us interesting stories from his life, shared his precious experience and gave us valuable advice . After graduating from 10 classes, he received a summons, and did not have time to get a certificate. Ashot Alexandrovich could not remember the years of that ill-fated war without tears. He said: "When I was shot in the head for the first time, I asked the doctor how bad the wound was." The doctor replied: "It's not scary now , it will be scary later." "That's what fear is, my daughters," Ashot Alexandrovich explained . After the war he worked as a tailor, a teacher, and was engaged in carpentry . According to his stories, he sewed clothes for famous figures. He was called to work in Moscow, but he stayed in his native Ordzhonikidze with the words " I'd Rather be the best and first in Vladikavkaz than the best and last in Moscow." That's how his life turned out. He could no longer talk about the war and the things that reminded him of that time, the heavy memories weighed on him. Therefore, we talked about his favorite topics about the work of Leo Tolstoy, talked about noble people and about the love of the works of Ashot Alexandrovich. The veteran was happy to share his knowledge in the field of literature with us: told about the life of S. In Rachmaninoff, described the images of the characters of Leo Tolstoy and what personalities they were written off . The main thing that Ashot Alexandrovich emphasized was books. He loves to read and does not understand why modern gadgets have replaced people with a "live" Book . "Books carry a lot of wisdom. You need to hold the book in your hands and smell it. And today's young people don't even know what books smell like," says Ashot Alexandrovich. Finally, the veteran gave us a very valuable advice: "Read books, daughters. Books are what develops and teaches us. " Ashot Alexandrovich is a very open, friendly and interesting storyteller . Meetings in such a cozy atmosphere help you understand how important it is to remember veterans. They are Heroes who consciously gave their lives for children to live, for there to be peace on earth . It is from such meetings that you learn a lot of useful things for yourself and for future generations.

From the first days of the great Patriotic war, he participated in battles against the Nazis. In one of the first days, he shot down two Junkers-88 aircraft and did not allow the bridge to be bombed. In those days, news of a hero who had performed a military feat came from the pages of Central Newspapers. On July 10, 1941, Komsomolskaya Pravda published an essay by the military journalist L. Vysokoostrovsky about Lieutenant A. N. Vershinin, who shot down a fascist bomber in an air battle. The essay ended with the words " Lieutenant Vershinin, combining the remarkable qualities of a brave pilot and a fine Bolshevik, draws his subordinates to military exploits by personal example. "the newspaper also indicated his place of birth, so this material was reprinted in the Newspapers" Mari commune "and" Mari Pravda", and in the Sernur newspaper" Kommunar "it was published together with a letter from members of the collective farm" KUGENER " - fellow countrymen of the pilot. "Dear Andrey Nikolaevich," wrote the villagers, " we read with great pride about your heroic deeds... we are proud that our pupil, who comes from a poor Mari family, performs heroic deeds for his Homeland in the fight against the cursed enemy. Together with us, with a sense of boundless joy, all our free Mari people are proud of your exploits." Andrey Nikolaevich flew I-16 and Yak-1 fighters, both in a group and alone. He flew ground attack, reconnaissance, patrol, intercept enemy aircraft. He was Deputy squadron commander of the 158th fighter regiment, later converted to the 103rd guards regiment. The pilot did not return from the mission on July 20, 1941. On this day, Lieutenant A. N. Vershinin took off in the morning from the airfield with five fighters to cover our troops in the Ivanovskoe – Sabsk area. When the task was completed, they were attacked by three enemy planes. After the attack, they went into the clouds. On the way back, the Soviet aces met an enemy bomber. As a result of the attack, it caught fire. All our pilots returned to their airfield. Two hours later, the fighter was alerted. There was an air battle in the area of Krasnogvardeysk. The task was completed. Two of the five fighter pilots did not return to the airfield – Yakovlev and Vershinin. Yakovlev was hit by an anti-aircraft battery, and Vershinin and his plane were missing. The order of the regiment commander noted: "on July 20, 1941, the Deputy commander of the 1st air squadron, Lieutenant Andrey Vershinin, while repelling an air RAID on the city of Leningrad, on the Krasnogvadeysk – Sivoritsy section, as a result of an air battle with enemy aircraft, crashed near the town of Lyady, Leningrad region. The plane was crashed and the pilot was killed." Andrey Vershinin was killed on the 31st sortie, shot down five Nazi planes. Two days after his death, a Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR was issued, and the name of Lieutenant A. N. Vershinin was also listed in the lists of a large group of awarded red army soldiers and commanders. His exploits were awarded the order of Lenin.

He fought in 1942 in the area of the Demyansk pocket on the North-Western front. He died on December 1, 1942, one-kilometer East of the village of Vyazovka in the Polavsky district of the Leningrad region. Now it is the Parfinsky district of the Novgorod region. His name is immortalized in the cemetery of soldiers in the village of Novaya Derevnya, Parfinsky district, about fifteen kilometers from the place of death in battle. My grandfather, Anton Nikiforovich Voitsekhovich, was born in the Russian Empire in 1897, somewhere in Belarus. The exact place of birth is unknown. Moreover, my father, Vitaly Antonovich Voitsekhovich, claims that his father was born in 1896, although all documents show the figure 1897. My grandmother, Tatyana Melentyevna Voitsekhovich, was born in 1897 in the village of Buglovo, Kremenets district, Volyn province, in Ukraine. My grandfather and my grandmother had seven children-a common occurrence at that time: Ivan, Anna, Ekaterina, Pelageya, Vladimir, Olga and my father Vitaly, the youngest in the family, born on December 7, 1938. History is silent about how the Voitsekhovichi moved to Siberia, but before the great Patriotic war, a large family lived in the village of ShChelkino. At that time, this locality was an administrative division of the Solominsky selsoviet of the Topkinsky district of the Novosibirsk region. Now that village is no longer there, and the town of Topki is still alive, although it is already part of the Kemerovo region. This is a mining region. Such it was before the terrible war. Not surprisingly, my grandfather worked for the benefit of the socialist Motherland as a miner in the mine. Shortly before the treacherous attack on the Soviet Union by Nazi Germany, Anton Nikiforovich was buried in a mine. Survived. The consequence was a serious kidney disease. Due to health problems, my grandfather was not taken to the front in the first days of the war. He was called up on may 16, 1942 and sent to military unit 4155 at Bogotol station in the Krasnoyarsk territory. There, as I understand it, was the formation of military units of the red army-the Workers 'and peasants' red Army. Apparently there my grandfather was assigned to the 1276 rifle regiment of the 384th rifle division. The red army became the Soviet army only after the war, in 1946. 384th RIFLE DIVISION the Division was formed from August 26 to October 10, 1941 by order of the State defense Committee in the Siberian military district, in the city of Ishim, Omsk region. According to the Directive of the headquarters of the Supreme high command No. 004275, the 384th rifle division was included in the 58th reserve army and was ready to be transferred to Ignatovo by November 7. From 10 to 20 November 1941 it was relocated to the Arkhangelsk military district in the area of Vytegra with unloading at art. Nyandoma of the Arkhangelsk region. Then the soldiers covered more than 250 km on foot to Vytegra by forest roads and column paths. Then from there, from February 1 to February 15, 1942, it was relocated to the area of Lyubnitsa station in the Leningrad region (now Novgorod region) on the North-Western front and became part of the 11th army. The composition of the 384 infantry division, the first formation:1272, 1274 and 1276 infantry regiment, an artillery regiment 947, 402 separate anti-tank battalion, 227 antiaircraft artillery battery (671 separate anti-aircraft artillery battalion), 446 reconnaissance company, battalion 664, 835 separate communications battalion (315 separate company), 469 medico-sanitary battalion, 462 separate company chemical protection, 499 motor company, 238 field bakery, 807 divisional veterinary infirmary, 1432 field postal station, 755 field offices of the state Bank. From the journal of combat operations 384 SD, quote: "24.2.42 g. 384 SD for the first time after its formation entered into battle with the fascist troops on the front 3 km West of Staraya Russa. 1276 SP took part in the battle (where my grandfather later got-approx.) under the command of major Witlin. The regiment was advancing in the direction Biologija, Small. Walnut. The regiment went on the attack at 12: 00 on 24.2.42, Overcoming enemy fire resistance. Was particularly strong flank with mortar and machine-gun fire from Raluca, Nagawa, Nechina, Muravieva. Within six hours, the regiment's battle lines advanced 800 m, lying in the immediate vicinity of the front edge of the enemy's battlefield. This was the end of the first day's offensive. The offensive was conducted without prior preparation.preparations». Major Witlin was killed in another attack the next day. From the first day of its battle, 384 SD participated in the Demyansk operation. DEMYANSK POCKET and RAMUSHEVSKY CORRIDOR the Offensive of the 11th army, which included 384 SD, in the Demyansk direction began on January 7, 1942. The first target was Staraya Russa, but the city was strongly fortified by the Germans, and it was not possible to take it on the move. As a result, the Soviet advance was stopped in this area. Simultaneously with the 11th army, the right wing of the 34th army launched an offensive. A few days later, the 3rd and 4th shock armies arrived at the scene, joined by the 241st rifle division under the command of I. D. Chernyakhovsky, which was part of the 34th army. On January 19, the headquarters of the Supreme high command developed and approved a new plan of action to encircle German troops on the North-Western front in the area of Demyansk. On January 29, Soviet troops began closing the ring on both sides. The German command repeatedly requested permission to retreat, but Hitler did not give it. As a result, on February 8, a "cauldron" was formed, in which six Nazi divisions, including the motorized SS division "Totenkopf" - "Death's head", with a total of about 100,000 soldiers and auxiliary units. At the head of the encircled troops was the commander of the 2nd corps, count Walter von Brockdorf-Alefeld. Due to the emergence of the "cauldron", the Soviet command had to change the strategic plan of action in the North-West direction. The need to constantly maintain the outer ring of encirclement hampered the actions of the North-Western front, which did not have enough forces to implement plans to attack the rear of the entire German army group "North". In addition, fresh enemy units were transferred to the area of operations, whose task was to unblock the group.Outside the cauldron, the Wehrmacht created a strike group of three divisions under the command of Lieutenant General Walter von Seidlitz-Kurzbach. On March 21, 1942, it launched an attack on the outer ring of the Soviet encirclement from the area southwest of Staraya Russa. At the same time, the blow was delivered from inside the "cauldron". The SS Totenkopf division, which lost most of its personnel during the operation, played a huge role in these actions. Division commander Theodor Eicke was awarded the Knight's cross with Oak leaves in April. The actions of Seidlitz-Kurbach were crowned with success: a month later, on April 21, the "Ramushevsky corridor" (from the name of the village of Ramushevo) was organized with a width of 6-8 km, through which it was possible to maintain communication between Staraya Russa and Demyansk. On may 5, the blockade was finally lifted. The German forces retained the Demyansk ledge and continued to hold Ramasheuski corridor. Until the end of may, Soviet troops attempted to eliminate the salient, but the Reich command moved additional forces to the area of operations, and the offensive was repulsed. 384 DIVISION at the TURN of the RAMUSHEVSKY CORRIDOR on the night of April 3 to 4, 1942, the division relocated to the area of the settlement of Redtsy. The village is adjacent to the Northern boundary Remotescope corridor. The constant fighting in this area was reduced to one thing: the Germans tried to expand the neck of the Demyansk boiler, the red army - to re-close the encirclement. From the journal of combat operations 384 SD: "7.6.42. on June 3, the enemy, having pulled up reserves, with the support of bomber aircraft up to 30 aircraft, 14 tanks, artillery and mortars at 9.30, went on the offensive along the entire front of the division, dealing the main blow to the defense of the 1276 rifle regiment. 1276 JV, having a small composition (up to 200 people) was almost completely destroyed and only a small group consisting of soldiers of the commandant's platoon, mortars, scouts and sappers, a total of 43 people, managed to hold the enemy on the Northern edge of the grove 1.5 km South-West of Gridino."As of the beginning of the great Patriotic war, there were 3,182 people in the rifle regiment in the state. Of the 1,276 SP 384 SD of the first formation only 43 people survived… These are losses from February 24 to June 3, 1942, in just three months with a hook. As stated at the dawn of this story, my grandfather Anton Nikiforovich Voitsekhovich, went to war on may 16, 1942. And according to my subjective concepts, I ended up in the 1276 rifle regiment of the second formation shortly after the Germans destroyed the first heroic part of the army unit in early June of the 42nd. That is, in the summer of the same year. On August 8, 1942, the COMMANDER of the 384th rifle division received a personal instruction from the army commander that the unit would carry out the task of defeating the enemy in the direction of the village of Vasilyevshchyna, which was located in the throat of the Demyansk group. From Staraya Russa to Demyansk, a single road passed through this locality. In July, Vasilishina was repulsed by the Germans to our troops. Both warring parties attached great importance to this strong point. In General, after the Germans unblocked their group in the Demyansk pocket in April 1942. The North-Western front conducted 9 offensive operations to re-encircle the enemy and 2 defensive operations to repel its offensive. For example, the dry lines of the 4th offensive of the red army, which lasted from August 10 to August 24, 1942: 14.08.42 g. PR-K provides strong fire resistance to the South. slopes height “Sandy". 1272 SP, knocking out PR-ka from the trenches, went to the Bank of an unnamed stream (Zap. heights “Sandy"). 1276 SP, destroying PR-ka on the ridge and yuzhn. slopes of an unnamed height (“Sandy”), went to the North. the Bank of an unnamed stream, where he is fighting with a strongly fortified PR-com on yuzhn. the Bank of an unnamed stream. I completed the task for 14.08.42. Losses of the regiment: 439 people. dead and wounded. During the entire time, the division repeatedly tried to seize the height and only on the night of 19-20.08.42, 1274 SP crossed the nameless stream at dawn and destroyed the centers of resistance on the North. on the slopes of the height “dotted", mastered them, secured and continued the fight. 1272 SP, while at the North. the banks of an unnamed stream (Zap. height “Sand”), contributed to the fire 1274 SP. 1276 SP from 18.08.42 was in the second echelon at d.Big Oak Trees. The regiment suffered heavy losses in the battle of 15.08.42 for the crossing of an unnamed stream. 25.08.42 g. PR-K three times counterattacked to the company on the site 1272 SP, was repulsed with heavy losses. In 1272 SP there were only 329 people. 1276 SP, having a total of 429 people., having built a battalion in three echelons, 25.08.42 g. comes for the mastery of the height " Dotted”. After the artillery RAID 1-2 echelon 1276 SP broke into the trenches of PR-ka and started a grenade battle. In the morning 1-2 echelon (75 people) repeat. No further information was received from them. 6 messengers sent were killed by snipers of PR-ka before the approach to the height of “Dotted” in the stream, 1 wounded. 3 echelon 30 people - at the height of”Sandy".PR-K attacked our units during the day, but the occupied trenches at the height of "dotted" were held by our fighters. During 27.07.42 g. to 12.09.42 g. 384 SD was in the same place in the district of Vasilyevschina, occupies the defense on the previous lines. From the journal of combat operations 384 SD: "18.10.42 g. division commander Colonel tov. Morozov with the commanders of regiments, the chief of staff and the staff conducted classes on the analysis of operations in the proposed area of action-the village of Vyazovka. According to the plan of the army command in the area of Vyazovka, it was supposed to break through the defense of the Demyansky cauldron and divide the Wehrmacht troops into two halves." The 11th army, which included 384 SD, was to advance from the North, and the 1st shock army was to advance from the South. To achieve the goal, an impressive group of the red army was concentrated in the area of Nora-Lyalino: 384 SD, 127 SBR, 133 SBR, assault battalions 22 and 28 GSD, 55, 282 SD, 947 AP, mortar units and a lot of artillery. During further redeployment to the area of operations to the village of Vyazovka, the troops faced one of the two eternal Russian problems-roads: first, the month of October - autumn thaw, the frosts did not have time to hit; second, the swamp is all around. According to local residents, they had to fight waist-deep in water, literally. From the journal of combat operations 384 SD of October 18, 1942: "the March was made in extremely difficult conditions. The roads along the route are completely unsuitable for movement. The horses were below average fatness. One gun in difficult places could not take even 10-12 horses. Tractors, of which there were only two, often failed, there was not enough fuel. Allocated 1,000 fighters 34 SD within ten days failed to prepare the way of Kropachevo - a Grass - Hole. As a result, the 30-kilometer March of the artillery regiment took four days and only 24.10.42 was concentrated four kilometers East of Nora, that is, in the area of Vyazovka... even with the beginning of a large amount of road work, enemy aircraft increased reconnaissance. Luftwaffe planes flew continuously over the roads - FV-179, XH-126, ME-109. And our vehicles were constantly moving along the roads. In many places, without any disguise, individual guns, RS vehicles, and carts were abandoned in the mud.All this gave away the plan of the command to concentrate troops. If 10-15 days ago in the area of Lyalino-Nora, mortar fire was rare, now artillery and mortars continuously shelled the roads leading to the nearby settlements of Svinoroy and Vyazovka. The enemy's fighter aircraft, along with reconnaissance, began to frequently fire guns and machine guns at infantry, baggage trains, and artillery. The enemy began to pull troops to the area of Vyazovka." From the journal of combat operations 384 SD: "30.10.42 g. at 3.00, the commander's order arrived to attack at 6.00. By the time the order was received in 1272 SP for two hours there was no communication with the battalions. The staff commanders who were sent out with orders to the battalions were delayed, because they did not know the exact location of the battalions. Only at 7.30 did the battalions move to their original positions. These guides from 1230 SP (through which our guides were supposed to attack) also did not know the exact location of the units, and if 1276 SP entered the battle in one section, then 1272 SP entered the battle in a battalion-each battalion began to advance independently wedged in part 370 SD. The commanders of the supporting artillery did not contact our commanders, and those who did did not have a connection within themselves. The commander of 1272 SP did not have an NP. From 9.30 am, the PR-ka aviation continuously bombed the front edge and battle formations of our units in groups of 10-15 Yu-87 and HE-111 aircraft. Having occupied the initial positions already under artillery fire and the influence of aviation 1272 SP and 1276 SP without any art. training, without supporting artillery, they went on the offensive through the battle formations of 370 SD and threw the PR-ka to 400-500 m. Further progress is suspended due to heavy rain, art. fire and counterattack on the right flank." On November 28, 1942, the sixth offensive of the red army begins with the goal of slamming the lid of the Demyansk boiler. This day marked the beginning of the end of 384 SD and its three rifle regiments-1272, 1274 and 1276. From the journal of combat operations 384 SD: "25.11.42 g. An offensive is being prepared to break through the defense of the PR-ka in the district of Strelitsy-Olkhovets-Vyazovka. Our 384 SD, as in the first plan, comes for 126 SBR after mastering it Vyazovka-Olkhovets. Preparation was completed on 27.11.42. Division is concentrated: - 1272 SP-forest edge 1 km South-West OTM. 68.6 (R-n Nora);- 1274 SP-near the Nora - Vyazovka road (6 km from Nora);- 1276 SP - 4 km South-East. Burrows; 28.11.42 g. at 12.00 on the front more than 10 km 11 A went on the offensive, 126 SBR two battalions advancing on Olkhovets-Vyazovka. As a result of all the fighting only on the right flank of the army-43 GSD was successful. 126 SBR did not have success, because it did not know the leading edge of the Ave. When reporting to the division commander, Colonel Moskalik, confirmation was received - to take Olkhovets at night. The battalion was going blindly, who was in front of it, what kind of TROOPS, no commander knew. As a result of this operation, the battalion suffered 86 casualties. killed and wounded, not a meter did not advance to the territory occupied by PR. 29. 11. 42 g. Many commanders (primarily 126 SBR) believed that the front edge of PR-ka passes near Olkhovets-Vyazovka. In front of the front edge there is a blockage from the forest with a system of Bunkers-as if BO. The whole art. the preparation was concentrated in vil'khovets ' - V'yazivka - they are more visible. The forest debris is not visible to art observers, and our artillery could not destroy them. Therefore, all the losses of both 126 SBR and 384 SD were mainly losses from bullet fire from OT from the blockage. The attached tank company (11-T-34) was not successful. 5 tanks deviated from the battle course to the left and got stuck in the swamp. Visibility was poor, it was snowing heavily. 1-2. 12. 42 The division advanced in cooperation with 126 SBR separate assault groups, destroying from PR-ka, prepared for the occupation of Olkhovets. 02. 12. 42 Unexpectedly, the division surrendered its combat section 126 SBR and 170 SD and concentrated on its previous positions before the offensive began. Received the order of the commander of 11 A on the basis of the order of the commander of the front to disband the 384th Siberian rifle division. All personnel and property should be used for staffing other parts of the army." The disbanding of the division during the great Patriotic war meant that there was simply no one to fight in the division, everyone died a brave death, or almost everyone.... This is not surprising: Rifle divisions (regiments, battalions, companies) in the red army during the great Patriotic war_x000D_ did not fight for long. Both in offensive and defensive battles, they were always assigned the most dangerous areas, and combat tasks were often set impossible. Therefore, the enemy very quickly knocked out the personnel of the rifle units. My grandfather, red army soldier Anton Nikiforovich Voitsekhovich, was one of the last to die in the 1276th rifle regiment on the last day of the 384th rifle division - December 1, 1942. According to the personal list of irrevocable losses of the commanding and enlisted personnel of the 1276 rifle regiment of the 384th rifle division, " Anton Nikiforovich Voitsekhovich 1.12.42 was killed in battle East of 1 km d. Vyazovka of the Polavsky district of the Leningrad region". Now it is the Parfinsky district of the Novgorod region. On December 2, 1942, the crumbs of the remaining 384th rifle division were withdrawn 4 kilometers Northwest of Vyazovka. There, by hand, was written "opersvodka No. 0527, to 16.00 2.12.1942, Shtadiv 384" - these data were declassified only in accordance with the order of the Minister of defense of the Russian Federation of may 8, 2007 No. 181 https://pamyat-naroda.ru/dou/?date_begin=01.12.1942&date_end=08.12.1942&division=384+%D1%81%D0%B4 [ https://pamyat-naroda.ru/dou/?date_begin=01.12.1942 & amp;date_end=08.12.1942& division=384+%D1%81% D0%B4 ] : "...1276 JV K.8.00 2.12.42 concentrated in the area of 74.5 3 km South-East of Lyalino and is building shelters for personnel. Probably one of the 44 dead was my grandfather. https://pamyat-naroda.ru/warunit/384+%D1%81%D0%B4/ [ https://pamyat-naroda.ru/warunit/384+%D1%81%D0%B4/ ] - here are all wartime maps and official documents related to the material. RESULTS of the DEMYANSK operation The Demyansk salient was held by the Wehrmacht for more than a year in the hope of conducting a large-scale operation to encircle the Soviet troops with converging strikes from the Demyansk and Rzhev areas. In March 1943, the red army still forced the enemy to leave the demyansky bridgehead and retreat across the Lovat river. Almost at the same time, German troops left The Rzhev-Vyazma salient. Thus, even the theoretical possibility of a German offensive in the Moscow direction was eliminated. The Sovinformburo report of March 1, 1943, under the heading "Elimination of the enemy's fortified bridgehead in the Demyansk area", stated: "during eight days of fighting, the troops, relentlessly pursuing the enemy, liberated 302 localities, including the city of Demyansk and the district centers of Lychkovo and zaluchye. An area of 2,350 square kilometers has been cleared of the enemy. During eight days of fighting, our troops captured 3,000 German soldiers and officers.... The enemy left more than 8,000 corpses on the battlefield."It is hardly possible to name the exact losses of the red army in the Demyansk operation. As mentioned above, for example, on August 14, 1942, 1276 SP lost 439 soldiers killed. And this is only one regiment in one day. And how many such heroic regiments and such tragic days were there!?According to the all-Russian book of memory, published in 1995 for the 50th anniversary of the great victory, " 245,511 people shed their blood in the operation near Demyansk. The names of the 88 908 of them are included in the lists of irrecoverable losses". Search engine HEROES the Phrase "the War is over only when the last soldier is buried" belongs to the great Russian commander Alexander Suvorov. And if we follow his wise dictum, the Great Patriotic war will be over for us when the search teams will find the last soldier who died during the fighting of 1941-1945, and who will be buried. From 1990 to 2015, the remains of 28,263 soldiers and officers were raised and buried in the Ramushevsky corridor of the Demyanskiy cauldron. We managed to identify the names of just over 1300 of them. Such a large ratio of unknown heroes and soldiers found with established surnames, among other things, is explained by an unfortunate fact. Each soldier of the red army was given a medallion - a plastic swirling vessel the size of an automatic cartridge case. According to the plan, the red army soldier was supposed to keep a piece of paper in a twisted form, which recorded data about the soldier and his relatives, in case of death. However, most of the soldiers were people, although believers, but superstitious and medallions were not used for their intended purpose. Therefore, search teams often find red army soldiers without a first and last name. Now in the Novgorod region, in the area of the Ramushevsky corridor, unburied soldiers lie almost everywhere on the sites of military operations: under roads that were thoughtlessly built in the post-war period, literally on bones, along the sides of these very routes, in impassable windbreaks, inaccessible swamps-everywhere! Enthusiasts of search teams raise the dead soldiers of the red army from oblivion. In their spare time, search engines - People with a capital letter-bring the end of the great Patriotic war closer: they find and bury soldiers. In 2000, my father, in response to requests, received a notification from the military enlistment office in Topki and the Central archive of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation that his father - Anton Nikiforovich Voitsekhovich-1.12.42 was killed in battle East of 1 km d. Vyazovka. At the Council, our family decided to find the burial place of my grandfather. Very humble your humble servant, as the most advanced unit of society in the field of the Internet, got information about the search teams of the Novgorod region. I was lucky enough to contact and get acquainted with Elena Anatolyevna Tremerova, head of the parfin branch of the "Valley Search expedition". A sympathetic and kind woman offered to take all the documents about the death of her grandfather, come to the urban-type settlement of Parfino and decide on the spot. PARFINO-2003 in June 2003, my father and I were in Parfino. We were greeted as honored guests, family Remirovich placed at home. Search engines immediately said that to get to the place of death of my grandfather, alas, it is impossible - around Vyazovka impassable swamps-unless there is a hypothetical possibility to get to the battlefield on an all-terrain vehicle and then in winter. However, nothing remained of Vyazovka-the village was wiped off the face of the earth by the Germans. Now it is a tract.During the excursions to the places of military operations that Elena Anatolyevna conducted for us, a Solomon's decision was made: to perpetuate the memory of Anton Nikiforovich Voitsekhovich at the cemetery of soldiers in the New Village of the Parfinsky district. This is the nearest burial of soldiers from the place where my grandfather died. The distance from Vyazovka to the New Village is about fifteen kilometers. For registration of documents, we went to the city of Staraya Russa, which is 20 kilometers from Parfino. The military Commissariat there is located on the embankment Of F. M. Dostoevsky, and nearby is the very house-Museum of the great Russian writer, where the genius created "Demons"and" Brothers Karamazov". Commissar Valery Tavarovich Jumaev was with us courteous and hospitable. We talked about the fighting during the war, the life and exploits of search teams. Thanks to Valery Dzhumaev, we immediately issued documents, receiving the official "go-ahead" to perpetuate the memory of our grandfather in a mass grave. In the New Village, we were met by the friendly Yulia Pavlovna Akifyeva, the head of this rural settlement. A nice woman did everything so that the next day on one of the plates of the military burial there was an inscription "Anton Nikiforovich Voitsekhovich, red army soldier, 1897-01.12.1942." Then, of course, there were tears, memories and front-line 100 gr.Many thanks to Elena Anatolyevna Tremerova and her family, Yulia Pavlovna Akifyeva, Valery Tavurovich Dzhumaev and all the people involved for these most important, solemn and mournful hours and minutes of life. PARFINO. A FEW YEARS LATER, in 2012, I invited my son, Nikifor Maximovich Voitsekhovich, to honor the memory of the hero of the great Patriotic war, Anton Nikiforovich Voitsekhovich. The second-grader gladly agreed to a trip to the Novgorod region on may 9. On the 8th, my son and I took part in festive events on Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow. In the capital, we were passing from Chelyabinsk, because direct trains to Parfino from our place of residence do not run. And planes don't fly. On the night of may 9, Elena Anatolyevna and her husband Vasily met us in Parfino. At nine in the morning we were at a solemn meeting, at the cemetery of soldiers in the New Village. The son saw the place where the memory of his great-grandfather is immortalized. And, I think, imbued with the memory that should connect generations of people. Nikifor was also struck by a stele at the entrance to the soldiers ' memorial to the New Village. A stork has built a nest on top of it. The elders of those places once wanted to demolish the stele as it did not fit into the architecture of the memorial complex. But in connection with the birth of a new life there - even if it was a bird-they abandoned their idea. After the rally, we were taken for a long time to the places of other graves and places where the red army soldiers ' excavations had recently ended. We visited near the village of Vasilishina. My grandfather's regiment fought there. It made a lasting impression on my son. You go into the forest a few meters from the road, and there are scattered fragments of mines and grenades, unloaded cartridges of machine guns of the red army and Wehrmacht soldiers, parts of weapons, shot helmets lie.... Scary! And on the hill there is an Orthodox cross, a symbol of the memory of the heroes who have already been raised and those who are yet to be raised. Son Nikifor took a few fragments of mines, ammunition, and a helmet as a souvenir. Some of them he gave to the Museum of the great Patriotic war of his school No. 138 in Chelyabinsk. WHEN Anton Nikiforovich went to war, Vitaly Antonovich-my father-was three years old. In person, he does not remember his father... ... he remembers how the postman brought the funeral… My grandmother, Tatyana Melentyevna wojciechowicz, and my father's sister Pelagia were standing in the kitchen of the hut and weeping with their arms around each other… My father was able to bury his father only after 61 years… At the place of perpetuating the memory of Anton Nikiforovich Wojciechowicz, my father and I took the land. And a little later took this bit of memory on the grave of the wife of my grandfather, my grandmother Tatiana Melentieva. She is buried in the city of Rubtsovsk in the Altai territory. After many decades, the Voytsekhovich couple reunited, even if somewhere up there in Heaven… Here is a tragic story about the war and the connection between generations…

Volkov Nikolay Vladimirovich_x000D_ _x000D_ Rank: Junior Sergeant Type of troops: Armored and mechanized troops Volkov Nikolai Vladimirovich was born in a large family. When the war started, his father and older brother left to fight. Soon the notification came that the father was missing. In the summer of 1943, when Nikolai was not yet 16 years old (he was born in December 1926), taking credit for his years, the boy went to the front. Immediately got into the thick of it – on the Kursk bulge. I was lucky to be alive in the first battle. Well, then, a short, stocky boy became a tank driver, a mechanic-driver of the famous 34-Ki, and went all the way to Berlin. And the winner was not even 18 years old! More than once during the war years, he looked death in the face. He was wounded several times and burned in a tank. Once, with great difficulty, he got out of the burning tank, pulled out the wounded commander and carried him for a long time, burned and shell-shocked, on himself. And then it turned out that the commander was already dead. After the war, my father served in the army for 3 long years, and fought with the Bandera people in the Belarusian forests near Bobruisk. He didn't tell us, his children, much about that terrible war. But she did not let him go, his wounds hurt, and he often had headaches-a consequence of the concussion. At night, I had nightmares and battle friends who did not survive the brutal battles with the Nazis. May 9-Victory Day, was a sacred holiday for him. Wearing his military awards (and among them – the order of the Patriotic war, medals for the capture of cities), he certainly went to the parade in the South in the ranks of war veterans and was very proud. The peaceful life of the Pope was spent in the city of Yuga, for more than 40 years he worked at a spinning and weaving factory as an assistant to the master of the weaving shop. He was always strict and demanding first of all to himself, but did not let down either subordinates or management. He did not tolerate liars and was always honest in everything. On the street where he lived, he was the permanent Chairman of the street Committee. Colleagues at work, neighbors came to him for help, he did not refuse anyone. He could stand up for a colleague in front of the factory management, defend the employee's labor rights. He sorted out neighbor's quarrels, gave smart everyday advice. Dad was respected. First "behind his back", and then openly, others began to call him "General". In 2003, the Pope died. He really wanted to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the victory, but his heart stopped at the age of 77. "My General" - that's what my mother, Lyudmila Volkova, called him. Married in 1953, they lived together for 50 years, raised a daughter and son, and enjoyed four granddaughters. And now the Volkov family is continued by five great-grandchildren.

Voronin Boris Petrovich. War Participant._x000D_ _x000D_ Photo was sent from Germany (1945)

Voronin Vasily Mikhailovich_x000D_ _x000D_ Rank: Major Vasily Mikhailovich Voronin was Born on March 23, 1917 in the village "Larino" of the Kolkhoz district (now Uysky), Chelyabinsk region in the family of a peasant. Voronin's parents Mikhail Vasilyevich (1873-1934) and Voronin's mother Evdokia Nikiforovna (1873-1955) were engaged in agriculture almost all their lives. Since 1932, my father worked as a guard at the freight yard of the Magnitogorsk station of the South Ural railway. The family had two children, a son Vasily and a daughter Anna. When my grandfather was 7 years old, he went to a village school, studied at the Larin primary school for 4 years. From 1928 to 1931, he studied at the UY school of collective farm youth. At the age of 16, he entered the Sverdlovsk mining and metallurgical technical school. Vasily Mikhailovich loved to study, he studied and worked, studied and fought, studied and raised children. In parallel with his studies at the technical school, in 1932, my grandfather got a job at the Magnitogorsk station of the South Ural railway. At first, he worked as a car clerk, then as a technical clerk, then as a railway cargo transfer agent, and since 1937, after graduating from technical school, he was an employee in the management Of the Magnitogorsk Iron and steel Works, working as a technician. In September 1938, he was drafted into the Soviet Army. He served in the 349 infantry regiment 26th infantry division first as a cadet regimental school, in October 1938 had promoted a Junior officer 349 infantry regiment from November 1939 - the commander of a rifle platoon. In February 1940, he was promoted to senior Lieutenant and appointed assistant chief of staff of the 87th branch of the construction battalion in the town of Garayevo. In June 1941, the Great Patriotic war began. My grandfather did not like to talk about the war, he said that it was sad, not interesting, it should be forgotten. Even when he was specifically asked to talk about this period, he refused. Therefore, we had to restore the events of the war years with the help of surviving documents, photos, letters, archival reports that we were able to find in various military bases and on search sites for soldiers, as well as the military biography of my grandfather, which he compiled for the Ministry of defense in 1951. He went to war as a senior Lieutenant, returned as a major. My grandfather went through the entire war from the very first day to the very last.Vasily Mikhailovich went to the front as the commander of a rifle company of the 624th rifle regiment of the 24th army. With the rank of first Lieutenant. Repeatedly participated in battles, for which he has the medal "for military merit". In July 1941, the army, consisting of rifle corps, artillery and other units, was moved to the Vyazma area and prepared the Nelidovo-Bely-Dorogobuzh defensive line. From 15 to 29 July 1941, as part of the reserve army Front, it held the Bely — Dorogobuzh — Yelnya line. During the battle of Smolensk, her troops launched two counterattacks: first on the grouping of German troops covering Smolensk from the North, then on the enemy troops advancing from the Yelnya region to Dorogobuzh. July 30, 1941 the army was transferred to the Reserve front, which from August 30 to September 8 conducted the Yelninsky offensive operation, during which it defeated the troops of the enemy's 4th army in the Yelnya area and eliminated The yelninsky salient of its front. Subsequently, the army held a defensive line West and South-West of Yelnya. In this battle, my grandfather was seriously wounded in the leg. Here is what is written in the award list describing the feat of captain V. M. Voronin, for which he received the order of the red star»: "Voronin V. M. combat commander of the red army, a repeated participant in the battles with the enemies of the Soviet homeland. Joined 5 times in battle with enemies. Voronin has submitted an application to the candidates of the CFS, and said, "I'll fight a Communist!» As a senior adjutant, he correctly directs the entire course of the battle. When the battalion commander is out of action, Voronin boldly and decisively leads the battalion against the brutal fascists. His battalion was the first to take on the attack of the German hordes and has been conducting offensive battles for 8 days. The experience of his battalion is used to fight other units. Voronin's soldiers are heroes, he managed to train them in a peaceful environment and heroically taught them to fight in battle. In a difficult moment of the battle, Voronin personally goes ahead of the fighters and smashes the fascist hordes. For 8 days of fighting, Voronin did not take a single step back. On day 8, a fascist bullet wounded Voronin in the hottest moment of the battle, but he did not leave the battlefield until the end of it. And he fulfilled the order with honor and on time, taking the line specified in the order. " after being wounded, my grandfather was treated for three months in the mobile field hospital No. 53. Then he went to the city of Gorky for recovery, where he was trained at the shooting courses "Shot" and received the rank of captain. From January 1942, as a battalion commander of the 482nd rifle regiment of the 131 rifle division, he led offensive battles on the right Bank of the don river, then from August 8 to September 28, as part of the 62nd Army, he led defensive battles with his battalion directly for the city of Stalingrad…The battle of Stalingrad was the decisive battle of the entire Second world war, in which the Soviet troops won the largest victory. This battle marked the beginning of a radical change in the course of the great Patriotic war and the Second world war as a whole. The victorious offensive of the German-fascist troops ended and their expulsion from the territory of the Soviet Union began. The victory of the Soviet troops over the German-fascist troops at Stalingrad is one of the most glorious pages of the chronicle of the great Patriotic war. For 200 days and nights - from July 17, 1942 to February 2, 1943 - the battle of Stalingrad continued with the forces of both sides constantly increasing. During the first four months, there were persistent defensive battles, first in the big bend of the don, and then on the outskirts of Stalingrad and in the city itself. During this period, the Soviet troops exhausted the German-fascist group that was rushing to the Volga and forced it to go on the defensive. In the next two and a half months, the Red Army launched a counteroffensive, defeated the enemy forces Northwest and South of Stalingrad, surrounded and eliminated the 300,000-strong group of German fascist troops. For the courage and heroism shown in the battle of Stalingrad, 32 formations and units were awarded the honorary names "Stalingrad", 5 - "Don". 55 formations and units were awarded orders. Our family carefully keeps the medal "for the battle of Stalingrad", which my grandfather received after those battles, he received it after the war, in 1946, and in 1942 he was issued an order for awarding, which also has survived to this day.In this heroic battle, Vasily Mikhailovich was again seriously wounded in the arm and was hospitalized in the city of Syzran in the evacuation hospital No. 139.From October 1942, he fought as a senior adjutant of the 50th reserve rifle regiment. The 50th reserve infantry regiment 15 th infantry replacement division 2 of the formation was stationed in the village Akshuat Baryshsky district of Ulyanovsk, in the Volga military district. It was there that my grandfather met his future wife, Antonina Dmitrievna Babushkina. But at that time, the war separated them. By may 10, 1943, the regiment was relocated to the city of Krasnoarmeysk in the Stalingrad region, where offensive battles were already being fought against German troops. After another training in the city of Solnechnogorsk in August 1944, having received the rank of major, Vasily Mikhailovich was appointed battalion commander in the camp of citizens ' reparations, under the 8th guards army of the first Belorussian front, in which he participated in the Berlin operation. The Berlin strategic offensive was one of the last strategic operations of the Soviet forces, during which the Red Army occupied the German capital and victoriously ended the Great Patriotic war and world war II in Europe. The operation lasted 23 days — from April 16 to may 8, 1945, during which the Soviet troops advanced westward to a distance of 100 to 220 km. May 9, 1945 was declared Victory Day! After the war, my great-grandfather stayed in the army. For another 10 months, he was in Germany, serving as commandant of a German city. In December 1945, he moved to the city of Mogilev, where he worked as a senior inspector of the 5th Department of the Mogilev regional military Commissariat. Since 1951, he held the position of head of the second part of the Mogilev district military Commissariat. His daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren helped me compile the history of his post-war life. Thanks to their memories, it was possible to restore the chronicle of the events of my grandfather's life until his death. In 1946, Vasily Mikhailovich returned to the village of Akshuat to his fiancee. I married Antonina Dmitrievna Babushkina, my grandmother, who worked as a primary school teacher. Together they have already moved to the city of Mogilev, where they had three daughters Tatiana (born in 1947) and Nina (born in 1948) and Olga (born in 1953). After completing his military service in 1955, he returned to his native city of Magnitogorsk, where his fourth daughter, my mother Svetlana, was born in 1956. My grandfather worked at the Magnitogorsk iron and Steel works, as an apparatchik in the coke-chemical industry, until his retirement. He was the foreman of the section of the resin shop of the coke-chemical production. He was very respected among colleagues, everyone listened to his opinion and consulted him. He has many labor awards and medals. Awarded the titles: veteran of Magnitogorsk, veteran of the Chelyabinsk region, Veteran of labor. In retirement, he served as Chairman of the Board of veterans of koksokhim.Vasily Mikhailovich adored his family, started family traditions that his family observes to this day, was able to cook well and tasty, everyone who knew him and at least once visited him remembers his cooking. And he had a lot of guests, family friends, friends of his daughters, neighbors, colleagues, all came to visit him, because he was always the "soul of the company". He raised and married four daughters, all his sons-in-law were very respectful of his grandfather, according to the stories of his sons-in-law, he was like a father to them. In 1976, his grandmother, Antonina Dmitrievna, the wife of Vasily Mikhailovich, became seriously ill and was never able to walk on her own. Her great-grandfather took care of her on his own, they lived together then, but always accepted both children and grandchildren. He also raised his grandchildren, because he loved us very much. Denis, Natalia, Alexey, Olga, Yulia, Vasily, Pavel - we, his grandchildren always remember him with awe and tenderness! For him, his family was the most important thing in the world! He valued peacetime, valued life, every moment of it, even difficult, even difficult, but peaceful! In 1984, He died in the village with relatives, where he went to rest in the summer with his eldest grandson Denis. Before that, he was not feeling well, and the family persuaded him to go on vacation. Ivan Dmitrievich (his wife's brother) met them on a motorcycle, came home, had dinner. My grandfather went out on the porch and felt sick. He died instantly – a heart attack. He was only 67 years old. His sons-in-law flew him to Magnitogorsk. Vasily Mikhailovich was buried with all military honors. Eternal memory to the hero of the great Patriotic War and the hero of my family Voronin Vasily Mikhailovich! MY grandfather went through the war from the very first day to the very last. Went to war as a senior Lieutenant, returned from the war as a major. Has combat awards, injuries. (the entire path is described in the biography of my grandfather). He served on the Western border of the USSR. Its part was one of the first to take on the Germans on June 22, 1941. Vasily Mikhailovich went a long way in the infantry. He participated in the battles of yelnia, Stalingrad , and was wounded twice . With the fighting, he reached Germany, in 1946 he was the commandant of the German city RECALLS DAUGHTER SVETLANA: Dad died very early, at 67 years old, in 1984, I was only 28 years old… I was very worried about this, I could not believe that I would never see him again. He died in the village with our relatives, my mother's brother Ivan Dmitrievich Babushkin, where he went on vacation in the summer with his eldest grandson Denis. He hasn't been feeling well lately, so my mother and I persuaded him to go on vacation. At the station of the village of Ivanovka, the train stopped and it was necessary to get out, but the conductor was nowhere to be found. My father was very worried, he and Denis had to jump out of the train almost on the move… Uncle Vanya met them on a motorcycle, came home, had dinner. Dad went out on the porch and got sick. He died instantly – a stroke. Three sons – in – law went to pick him up: Vova Syrov – the husband of the second daughter Nina, Kolya Tikhomirov-the husband of the third daughter Olga and my husband-Leonid Mezentsev. It was difficult for them, since it was almost impossible to find a zinc coffin in the village, but as a result, they brought their father to Magnitogorsk by plane. I cried a lot and asked to open the coffin, but they wouldn't let me… The Pope was buried with all military honors. And now, after 31 years, you need to talk about your feelings for your father. It's very difficult, I feel only one thing – I loved my dad very much, you can say idolized… My older sisters say that I was Papa's favorite, the smallest, the last. We were on the same page, we understood each other at a glance. I trusted him with more of my secrets than my mother. He was very close to me. I don't remember my early childhood at all, but I remember very well that we often had guests at home, mostly friends of my parents. They had fun, danced, and we sang very well together. They knew a lot of songs. We had a huge number of records, which unfortunately did not survive. My father never raised his voice at me, he was a very reserved man. I, having grown up myself and raised two children, always wonder how they are in that difficult time to learn and give higher education to four daughters! It doesn't seem real right now. What strength of will it was necessary to have! We studied at 4 and 5, no one ever checked our diary or lessons, for me it is still a mystery. The choice of the Institute was also made independently. I think it seemed so, but in fact it was a huge effort of parents to teach all four of us independence. The family had its own traditions: we made dumplings with the whole family, Especially in winter, and frozen them on the balcony. My father bought meat, made minced meat, and my mother and I made dough. The girls rolled, and dad made dumplings, they turned out so beautiful! When my parents were left alone (I was the last to marry in 1976), they did not abandon this tradition. We all knew that if we went to our parents ' house at any time, we would find hand-made dumplings in the refrigerator. Dad was a great cook, and he was never shy about it. He was a very loving husband and father. When my mother got sick, he did everything to raise her: massages, compresses, lotions. But it so happened that she never got back on her feet… And he took care of her himself until the day he died. He always said they were safer together. My sisters and I came only on weekends, helped him, washed, ironed, cleaned, bathed my mother. Dad never complained to anyone that he was having a hard time with his sick wife. Always affectionately called it "my guide". I think so in order for my mother to always feel needed. He loved his mother very much. Why, only he knows, because my mother sometimes told me that she can be cold, she was generally taciturn, not very emotional, but she was clearly his woman! We all: me and my _x000D_ amily, my sisters Nina, Tanya, Olya and their families, always gathered at my parents ' house for the holidays on may 9, November 7, and January 1 after new year's eve. It was also a tradition. Dad never talked about the war, always said it was not a woman's business. Now, in 2015, when my daughter Yulia and my grandson Valentin decided to make a military history of their grandfather, I very much regret that I did not try to get him to tell me more about himself, about his youth and maturity… Dad had enough strength, love, and care for all of us children, sons-in-law, and grandchildren until his death, and there were seven little tomboys. Again, I don't remember him ever yelling at his grandchildren. Was it patience? Or did he compare the war he went through with the simple, ordinary, everyday life? He valued life more than anything else in the world. I also remember that he always came home from work with gifts. There were sweets and cookies in my pocket. And we always waited for him from work, even the cat marsik always heard him come into the entrance, and we lived on the third floor, and lay down on his belly near the door, waiting for dad to come in and stroke him. My dad was the best father and grandfather in the whole world! RECALLS DAUGHTER TATIANA: I was born in the city of Mogilev, when my father was still working in the military enlistment office, my mother worked as a primary school teacher, and a year later my sister Nina was born. We lived amicably, cheerfully, our parents tried to give us everything: education, clothes, sweets, holidays, my sister and I did not need anything, soon our third sister Olga was born. We lived in Mogilev until 1955. This year, my father retired from the military before serving for several months, so the situation has developed. His sister Anna lived in Magnitogorsk, and his parents decided to move to the Urals. Our family was given two rooms in a three-room apartment on Oktyabrskaya street in Magnitogorsk. We lived with neighbors by the name of Adamites, unfortunately the communication with them is lost. Dad got a job at MMK in the coke production. In 1956, our fourth sister Svetlana was born. Our family was friendly, my father was the ringleader in any company, loved to sing songs, baited jokes. All our friends loved him, he gathered us, our daughters and our friends around him, all the time coming up with tasks for us. We all dug potatoes together in the "Old Magnitogorsk", and went for apples. But most of all he loved his mother, this love for her was visible from a mile away, he was very affectionate with her, always consulted her, did not take a step without her. When I received my salary, I always brought us Goodies: in one pocket - candy, in the other - cookies! Oh, how we've waited these days! Pampered us. Every weekend, my mother dressed us up beautifully and we went for a walk in the Park on Metallurg street with the whole family. This was our tradition. Soon we were given a three-room apartment at 105 Michurina street. That was my entire youth. In winter, my parents still gathered guests, in the summer we went to the river" gerbil " to swim and sunbathe. Dad was very patient, did not scold us, sometimes looked strictly, this look was enough, we did not want to upset him, tried our best, studied, attended clubs, sang, danced, played sports, who - what. Dad's talents were shared by all his daughters! My mother was strict with us, and my father forgave everything, saying that he could not be angry with us, we are his daughters... We sometimes went to his homeland, to the village of Larino (now this is the Uysky district), picking mushrooms and berries. The house there was small, crooked, but everything in this house was nice and cozy. Dad didn't talk much about his childhood either. My father was often invited to our schools and told students about the war. But he didn't tell us, he wanted to protect his family even from the memories of this terrible time. Gradually, we grew up, entered institutes, and all four of us received higher education! They started getting married. Our husbands all respected dad very much, obeyed him, and he loved them, consulted with them, and put us, our daughters, in safe hands. In 1976, my mother was completely ill, which he just did not do... But she couldn't walk anymore, and he took care of her and didn't complain. Soon the grandchildren went too. In total, the Pope has seven grandchildren, he had enough care and love for all of them. He even sat with the babies, even though his mother was ill. I remember letting my husband and I go on vacation for a week, and he took our eldest daughter Natasha and my sister Nina's son Deniska to live with him! Oh, and suffered, probably, they were only 3 years old, they ran away, and ate food from the cat's bowl, hooligans! And my grandfather didn't even complain, he told his adventures with his grandchildren as a funny, funny story, but I don't think he was laughing. It's just that dad was like that, he valued life, us, our daughters, and our grandchildren! Always cheerful, smiling. That's how I remember him: tall, smiling, loving! My son-IN-LAW Leonid RECALLS: I have known my father-in-law, Vasily Mikhailovich Voronin, since 1976, when, as a pensioner, he "gave" the last of the four "beloved daughter" in marriage and thus shared his paternal happiness with me, then still a boy. For this, I am immensely grateful to him being at his age today and I understand how difficult and responsible it was: to give birth, raise, give higher education to four children – girls, especially in the post-war years, not the most "well-fed".Vasily Mikhailovich adequately withstood the unscrupulous attitude of the authorities to the soldier who went through the entire war from the beginning to the end, when he lacked some few months before receiving a military pension, he was reduced, and he "served" at one of the most harmful MMK production facilities. There were few easy days in his life: war, famine, injuries, devastation, moving, injustice… Perhaps, I guess, there were bright days of victory and even greater love for his wife and daughters, to whom he was devoted to the end of his days and considered it his duty to always be useful. So he protected and preserved for many years, and in recent years he has been a physical support for his sick wife. Only death did not allow him to fulfill his duty to the end, he left briefly and unnoticed, did not remain in debt to anyone, did not offend anyone. But he taught us a lot, then young. I think that, everyone who knew him. they can not say anything unkind, despite the fact that he was a simple man, but not simple-minded, but wise.
