Rank: KGB Captain_x000D_ Branch of troops: the USSR Navy and the Naval Forces of the NKVD border troops. _x000D_ Pavel Fedorovich had served in the army since 1932, he met the beginning of the war in Molotovsk. During the war, he served as an operative of the counterintelligence department of the Northern Fleet "SMERSH" on Novaya Zemlya. _x000D_ During the Great Patriotic War, Molotovsk and Arkhangelsk were among the country's seaports, which received lend-lease cargo from allied countries. To protect them, bases and airfields were built on Novaya Zemlya, Pavel Fedorovich Postoev took an active part in this in the polar winter, for which in 1943 he was awarded the medal "For Courage". When the territory of our country was liberated from the Nazis, the struggle did not end for Pavel, he continued to fight against armed nationalist formations in Western Ukraine (“Banderites”) and in Latvia (“forest brothers”). _x000D_ In addition, Pavel Fedorovich also had medals "For Military Merit", "For Defense of the Soviet Polar Region", "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", the Order of the Red Star and the Red Banner. _x000D_ Pavel Fedorovich lived with his family in the city of Orel in the post-war years, where he passed away in 1986.
