Rank: Lieutenant Colonel_x000D_ Branch of troops: troops of the NKVD and NKGB (except for the border). _x000D_ In November 1943 he was drafted into the Red Army. He took the military oath on December 12, 1943. He was sent to the Vinnitsa Military Infantry School on 09.11.1943 to 26.04.1947, based in the city of Suzdal, Vladimir Region. In 1946 he graduated from it and became a Commander of Mortar Platoon. During the war he had been cadet, therefore, despite participation in hostilities, he was not considered a front-line soldier. During period 04.1946 - 11.1951 he had served in the NKVD troops to destroy Bandera formations in Western Ukraine. He served in the city of Ostrog, Slavuta, Alexandria, Rivne Region. _x000D_ In 1949 he met his future wife, MISHCHENKO Antonina Grigorievna. In July 1951, daughter Irina was born. In November 1951, he was transferred to the Moscow Region in the city of Elektrostal in military unit 3270, which was responsible for the protection of the nuclear plant (then PO boxes No. 3 and No. 12) and the Comintern radio station. He was the Commander of the autorot until May 1962. He graduated from high school in 1958, and in 1966 from military-automobile courses at the Ryazan military school. In 1962 he was appointed Head of the Regiment's car service. In 1969 he was promoted to Major and became Deputy Regiment Commander for logistics. In the same year he passed refresher courses. The rank of Lieutenant Colonel was awarded in July 1975. _x000D_ He was released on 10/12/1977. Until the last day he worked as a civil defense inspector at the consumer services plant. He passed away on March 15, 1988 from a heart attack._x000D_ Awards: 1954—Medal for Military Merit. 1958—jubilee medal "40 years of the Armed Forces of the USSR". 1959—Medal "For impeccable service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs". 1965—Jubilee Medal "Twenty Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945", 1966—Medal for Military Merit. 1968—jubilee medal "50 years of the Armed Forces of the USSR". 1970—the jubilee medal "For military valor in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of V. I. Lenin", 1975—Jubilee Medal "30 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945", 1977—Medal "Veteran of the Armed Forces of the USSR". 1978—jubilee medal "60 years of the Armed Forces of the USSR". 1987—the jubilee medal “40 years of victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.” 1980—Medal "Veteran of Labor".
