Serbin Grigory Fedorovich was born on October 20, 1920, a native of the village. Titovka, Rubtsovsky District, Altai Territory (modern Yegoryevsky District, Altai Territory). After graduating from the Rubtsovsk Pedagogical School, specializing in "elementary school teacher", Serbin Grigory Fedorovich was sent to work in the Kaminsky NSSH of the Aleisky district. From August 1939 he worked there as a primary school teacher, head teacher, and then director of a school. Due to the lack of teachers, he taught biology and chemistry. In February 1940 he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army. He participated in the battles of the Great Patriotic War from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945 as part of the Western, South-Western, 3rd Belorussian fronts. Since April 1943 he has been a member of the CPSU. He fought on the territory of Belarus, near Kursk, Voronezh. As part of the 622 rifle regiment of the 124th rifle division, with the rank of senior sergeant-assistant to the commander of the PTR platoon, he took part in the battles at Stalingrad. In 1943, for military services, the 124th rifle division was renamed the 50th Guards rifle division, and the 622th regiment was renamed the 150th Guards rifle regiment. Grigory Fedorovich liberated Ukraine, Czechoslovakia, East Prussia. During the war , he had two wounds, the first was received on January 11, 1942 in the Kursk region, and the second on January 16, 1945 in East Prussia. He was awarded two Orders of the Red Star, the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree and five medals: "For Military Merit" (1942), "For Military Merit" (1943), "For the Defense of Stalingrad" (1943), "For Courage" (1945), "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." (1945). After the war, Grigory Fedorovich devoted himself to teaching, graduating in absentia from the Barnaul State Teachers' Institute with a degree in mathematics and physics, and then from the Barnaul State Pedagogical Institute. He worked as a mathematics teacher, head teacher, 27 years old (1956 - 1983) - the permanent director of the Srostinsky secondary school of the Yegoryevsky district of the Altai Territory.
