Skillfully maneuvering on the combatfield, adjusting to the terrain, he went ahead of the group of tanks and by radio he adjusted the fire of the remaining tanks on the combatfield, being in the tank for more than 20 hours. By the end of the day on November 24, 1942, he reached the milestone, which is half a kilometer north-west of Vertyachiy. In three attacks, 7 guns, 5 machine guns, 2 bunkers, 90 soldiers and officers were destroyed. _x000D_ By order of the Don Front troops of November 16, 1942, on behalf of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, Lieutenant Ivan Viktorovich Sedov was awarded the Order of the Red Banner for the exemplary performance of combat missions of the Command on the front against the German invaders and for the valor and courage shown at the same time. Distinguished during the liberation of Hungary. 24 October In 1944, Sedov's company, during the combat for the Hungarian city of Nagkallo, took acombat with 20 enemy tanks, knocking out 6 of them and forcing the rest to withdraw.
