Dad, Mukhamediyar Sitdikov, volunteered for the front at the age of 28, with the rank of Specialist. Participated in combat operations on the territory of the Soviet Union. After the liberation of the USSR from Nazi troops, he fought for the liberation of European countries: Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Poland. During the fighting, surrounded by German troops, he was driven along with his comrades into a swamp, where they stood in icy water. Soldiers were fighting defensive battles near Budapest, and my dad and a group of soldiers were captured. When they were liberated by the Soviet troops, they again went to liberate the territories from the fascist troops. They went forward for the Victory, knowing that they were expected home. During the bombing, he received a shrapnel wound to his heart. The removal of the fragment during the surgery was life threatening, so he passed with this fragment near the heart for the rest of his life. For an excellent service, for their bravery and courage, for exemplary performance of command assignments at the front, fighting with the German invaders and displaying valor and courage, he was awarded the Order of Glory 3rd degree, many medals and decorations, including Order of the Red Star. After the war, my father took my mother from the village, came to Kusa, built a house on the bank of the river AI and raised us, five children. After the war, he started his career in Kusa as a fireman in a Fire Department. Then he worked for a machine-building plant in a foundry. Therefore, he worked until the end of his days.
