On June 14, 1944, during the assault on a fortified area 8 km West of the city of Terioka, senior Sergeant Rimsky provided first aid to the soldiers for many hours under continuous enemy fire, and carried 25 seriously wounded from the battlefield. By order of July 6, 1944, senior Sergeant Vasiliy Rimsky was awarded the order of Glory of the 3rd degree. On January 15, 1945, during the battle for the city of Pultusk, senior Sergeant Rimsky carried 36 wounded soldiers and officers from the battlefield and provided them with first aid. At the same time, he destroyed 3 opponents with automatic fire. He was presented for the award of the order of Glory of the 2nd degree. On January 26, 1945, during the fighting at the crossing of the Sona river South of the city of Tsekhanow, Sergeant Rimsky took out 27 wounded soldiers and officers under heavy enemy fire, after which he supervised the evacuation of them. By order of February 3, 1945, senior Sergeant Vasiliy Rimsky was awarded the order of Glory of the 2nd degree. By order of February 27, 1945, senior Sergeant Vasiliy Rimsky was awarded the order of Glory of the 2-nd degree. In 1945, petty officer Rimsky was demobilized. Return home. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on September 23, 1969, Vasiliy Rimsky was awarded the order of Glory of the 1-st degree. Became a full knight of the order of Glory.
