Alexander Spekov (1916-1940) was the telephone operator of the signal platoon of the rifle battalion of the 2nd Border Regiment (North-Western Front), Komsomol member. Private Spekov, was on field patrol whithin a unit of thirteen soldiers on January 25, 1940. They were attacked by a Company of the enemy. Left alone in the house, after the death of the entire unit, alone, to the last cartridge, he fought and died.
