A participant in the Great Patriotic War, captain, an honorary citizen of Blagoveshchensk. He fought in the 232nd Sumy-Kiev Order of Lenin Red Banner, the Order of Suvorov and the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky Siberian Rifle Division. He fought on the Kursk Bulge, near Belgorod, Kharkov, as a rifle battalion and a regiment Komsomol organizer. From the Kursk Bulge (1943) - captain, political worker. During the war he was twice wounded and three times concussed. He was awarded with Patriotic War Orders of the 1st degree, 2nd degree (two), Red Star (two), medals "For bravery", "For combat services", "For the Defence of Kiev" and others.
