Evdokiya Dmitriyevna Steshina (1926-2010) was graduated from school and training courses of nurses in Sergach in 1942. During the war she was working at an evacuation hospital near the town of Dzerzhinsk on a voluntary recruitment basis. She worked at a school for deaf-and-dumb children after the war.
