In the photo, my great-grandfather Veniamin Vasilievich Bezrukov, born on July 10, 1914. (second row, far right), junior lieutenant, served in the 588th artillery regiment. Presumably, the photo was taken somewhere near Rzhev. Unfortunately, this is the only wartime photograph preserved in our family archive.
