She graduated from school, entered the Saratov Medical College, but the war began. At fourteen, she had to combine her studies with work in a hospital. “I looked after the wounded, fed them, helped to dress them. Tired after a sleepless night in the hospital, often hungry, I went to lessons. When the war ended, it became a little easier, although I still had to starve ”- the veteran tells about her life. After graduating from medical college, she was sent to her native village, where she led active social work and worked as the head of a medical centre until retirement.
