Pavel Grigorievich Arkhipov is a native of the village of Monastyrskoye, born in 1914. Pavel Arkhipov participated in the defence of Leningrad, in breaking through the blockade of the besieged city on the Neva as part of the 177th Separate Artillery Division of the Leningrad Front. He liberated the cities of Tikhvin, Vyborg. For courage and heroism Arkhipov was awarded medals "For Combat Services", "For the Defence of Leningrad", "For Victory over Germany".
