Nikolai Zinovievich Kirsanov. Born on December 19, 1922. Lived and studied in the village of Davydovka, Kolyshley district of Penza region. In 1940 he was drafted into the army, in 1941 he entered the Ryazan Airborne School, in 1942 he graduated with the rank of lieutenant and was drafted into the war. He fought on the Leningrad front, was a company commander. In the spring at the beginning of March 1943, he was seriously wounded and surrounded. When leaving the encirclement, the soldiers carried him, seriously wounded, on tied skis. We left the encirclement only at the beginning of April. He was hospitalized, after several operations he was demobilized. He returned home in 1945.
