Onishchenko Ivan Sergeyevich. Born on 06.09.1917 in Politotdelsky rural settlement, Nikolaev district, Volgograd region. Began his military career in 1942 in the Kerch district of Kharkov region. Participated in the defensive operation on the Don River, in Stavropol and Krasnodar directions. In 1942 - Armavir-Maikop defensive operation; offensive operation of the northern group of forces of the Transcaucasian Front in the Nalchisk-Stavropol direction. In 1943 he took part in the Novorossiysk-Taman operation and the Kerch landing operation. Got a leg wound; after undergoing treatment before the end of the war, he was mobilized. He died on 02.10.1996.
