Rank: Sergeant of the State Security Service Type of troops: NKVD and NKGB troops (except for border troops) My father, Inozemtsev Vasily Yegorovich, was drafted into the Red Army on March 14, 1942 by the Issykul district military enlistment office of the Omsk region. From March to September 1942 he served as a telephone operator in the 245th Rifle Regiment of the 123rd Rifle Division of the 23rd Army of the Leningrad Front. From September 1941 to September 1942, the division defended the northern approaches to Leningrad in the Elizavetinsky and Lembolovsky BRO (the Lembolov-copper plant line). He was wounded on September 12 in the left leg and from September to October 1942 was being treated in the evacuation hospital №3283. After his recovery, he served in the 482nd separate communications battalion as a telephone operator on permanent lines from October 1942 to October 1943. Was wounded again. From October to December 1943 he was treated in the evacuation hospital №281. He continued to serve as the commander of the department of permanent communication lines from December 1943 to August 1946 in the 250th separate battalion of government communications of the NKVD of the 11th separate regiment of government communications of the NKVD, and later awarded the honorary title of Warsaw and awarded the Order of the Red Banner, and from March 7, 1945 of the year reorganized into the 11th separate Warsaw Red Banner Brigade of the Government Communications of the NKVD, later awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky. Departments of government communications were created at the fronts. Separate regiments, battalions and companies were subordinate to them. Communication was organized along "axes" and "directions". "Axial" was pulled to the front headquarters (usually 2 lines in different places). A "direction" was laid to the armies in one line. On March 18, 1946, the NKVD was renamed the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In August 1946, he was transferred to the 157th Red Banner Infantry Regiment of the Order of Alexander Nevsky, the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (from January 21, 1947, the Internal Troops of the MGB) as an encoder-cipher. The regiment carried out tasks for the protection of the rear under the group of Soviet occupation forces in Germany, namely, for the protection of uranium deposits, processing enterprises of the SJSC "Vismut". On April 26, 1949, on the basis of the Decree of the USSR Council of Ministers of October 14, 1948, with the rank of sergeant, was dismissed from service. During his service he was awarded medals: "For the capture of Berlin", "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." , "For Military Merit", "For the Liberation of Warsaw". In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree. In addition, he was awarded various jubilee medals.
