The photograph shows Nurgaliyev Faizulla Kashbulinovich, born in 1919. In 1939 he was drafted into the army by the Kugarchinsky Regional Military Commissariat in The Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He participated in the breakthrough of the Germans' defence to the south of the Island, and took part in the offensive battles from 17 July 1944 to 7 September 1944. He destroyed 1 cannon at point-blank range, 6 enemy machine guns and exterminated up to 341 Nazis. Sergeant Nurgaliev deserves the Order of the Red Star for his courage and bravery in an offensive counterfire power operations.
