Valentina Kolesnikova (Aristarkhova)
Valentina Kolesnikova (Aristarkhova) was born on October 7, 1924. After the death of her father, Vasily Aristarkhov in 1934, she was orphaned (her mother, Varvara Aristarkhova died in 1931). She was raised together with two brothers by her stepmother Anisya Aristarkhova. They lived on Shabolovka Street.
By the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, my mother graduated from the 9th grade of a secondary school in the Leninsky District of Moscow (school number unknown).
She left Moscow with her stepmother at the end of July 1941 to be evacuated to Tartary. Her two brothers, Alexander and Dmitry Aristarkhov, were in the Red Army. A month later, the family returned to Moscow (according to the entry in the workbook of her stepmother A. Aristarkhova dated September 4, 1941).
During the battle of Moscow, from February 1942, she worked as an economist for the municipal trust of the Leninsky District of Moscow. She joined the All-Union Leninist Communist Youth Union in December 1942.
She entered the Moscow State Economic Institute in October 1943. During extracurricular time, my mother helped care for wounded soldiers in Moscow hospitals.
She was awarded the medal For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in March 1947.
V. Aristarkhova married a Komsomol worker of the war years (Chelyabinsk), an employee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Sergey Kolesnikov in 1947.
After graduation from the Economic Institute in 1948, my mother was an employee of the State Planning Committee of the USSR. She worked as an economist, chief specialist, and Deputy head of the Sub-Department of the Finance and Property Department until July 1976. Then, until October 1979, she was a hosewife for family reasons. She retired in October 1979. She had the honorary titles of war veteran and labor veteran.
V. Kolesnikova was awarded the medals 50 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, In Memory of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow in the 1990s. The jubilee medals 60 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and 65 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the Communist Party medal 65 Years of the Battle of Moscow and others - in 2005 and 2010.
Valentina Kolesnikova died on May 10, 2012 after a long-term serious illness and was buried at the Danilovsky Cemetery.
