Chaly Sergey Karpovich was born on November 8, 1925 in the Voronezh region, Bogucharsky district, Grushovka village. He was drafted into the Army in Vsevolozhsk RMC, Leningrad region, Vsevolozhsk district. Military unit - 1236. He received the rank of Corporal, was the commander of the machine-gun crew of the Vyborsky Rifle Regiment No.1236, Novgorod Rifle Division No.372, 2nd Belorussian front. My grandfather Viktor Glinin. He was awarded of the Order of the RED BANNER, medal “For courage”, a badge "Guard", the Order of the Patriotic War.
