Veteran of the Great Patriotic War Gavrilin Varnaviy Illarionovich

Gavrilin Varnaviy Illarionovich, born in August 1923. In 1941 he volunteered for the front. Cavalier of three Orders of the Patriotic War and the Order of the Red Star. He was wounded at Stalingrad. After that he fought on the 2nd Ukrainian Front as part of the 69th division of the 208th Rifle Regiment. After the second wound, he participated in the liquidation of the Korsun-Shevchenko group and in the Jassy-Kishinev operation; participated in liberation of the Budapest. With the rank of First Lieutenant, he returned to his native land and worked in the collective farm Kirov in Kolyvan village, Novosibirsk region. 1945.
