The political instructor fought on the Southern Front as a commissar of a company of the 11/15 Rifle Regiment No.11/15, Rifle Division No.343 of the 56th Army. He graduated from the Rostov Military-Political School. The photo was taken on November 1941, before the battle for Rostov.
